should’ve shot that cockroach up.

dude vonska that’s f’ed up but I’ve heard that he’s an ******* from other people as well. One of his daughers is enrolled in UNIS (United Nations International School, where one of my cousins was enrolled) and most of her friends are of other ethnicities.

It’s a shame though because he’s a kick ass actor.

Does USC give priority to students who’s parents have gone to USC?

I don’t know about priority but it helps for sure.

Alumni connections to me are kind of like a tie breaker when ADCOMS have to choose between you and another applicant who have very similar stats.

it helps but i don’t know how much.

For USC, do you think they would rather you have a 3.3-3.4 GPA with honors. or a 3.5+ GPA without Honors?

i think they just look at gpa, atleast for transfers.

i want to apply to usc for sophomore year but im reconsidering because i got rejected the first time applied (freshman) and people are saying that if i get rejected once i probably will again since they still look at my high school grades. would it be wise to still apply or wait for another year?

They’ll look at your high school grades anyway, whether you are a freshman or a sophomore applicant. It’s just that if you have at least 30 units of college units completed, your high school grade will weigh less for the admission decision process. If you have less than 30 units completed, USC will make decision primarily on your high school stats. If you are able to completed 30 units by the end of the first year, then sure, it’s worth to apply to USC your freshman year.

****kk!!! i cant wait any longer.

so i need to know my chances here…i didn’t get in as a freshman but usc is still my first choice i’m now at the university of miami and it looks lyk i’ll have a 3.76 at the end of the semester. during high school my gpa was alittle over 3.5…i’m applying as a broadcast journalism major and its here or 'cuse bc i’m not staying at miami.

I would think you’d have a good shot although I also thoughI had a good shot. I applied as a transfer from Hofstra University a 4 year private in NY with a 3.73 cumulative GPA as a junior transfer and I got rejected. I was told by the general admission counselor that broadcast journalism is the 2nd most impacted major on campus, my 2nd choice was communication. I would pick a non Annenberg major as your 2nd choice so you hopefully still get in and then maybe you can internally transfer into Annenberg. Goodd luck. Fight On! MY only hopeto be a Trojan now is grad school in Fall 2008.

A couple questions:
- Does anyone know if USC admits by college or is it by major? (Ex: Is there a difference in getting into Economics vs. Sociology)
- Will it affect me if I change my 1st choice major on the Part II application to what my 2nd choice major was on the Part I application; I have rethought my original major plans and no longer want to major in what I said on the Part I application…
Thanks

Is it a good idea to put “Undecided” as your second choice of major?

Oh at first I was excited b/c I thought this was a thread for ppl who wanted to transfer out of USC! Damn!

what’s wrong with USC? I’m thinking of transferring there…

well, there are things about USC I really don’t like, but then other people might like the things I don’t like. College is just a really personal thing, and while USC is a great place for many people, and most people here love it, USC just isn’t for me. Then again, the size of the school is such that I could have had an entirely different experience had I simply been placed in another residence hall.

I think that reason (about the size of the school) alone is a good enough reason to give USC another chance.

Is Part I of the application optional for transfers? If I didn’t turn it in yet will I be negatively affecteD?

yaeh its optional, i doubt you’d be negatively affected.
