USC transfers.

Is usc gd with financial aid? Cuz i m definitely NOT interested to pay $40k just to go into Marshall.

I am filling out a transfer application online and for the part where I have to list schools I previously attended, there is a text box provided to answer the question “Reason for leaving?” For high school, I obviously graduated. For the college I attend now, how important is this question? I will provide my reasons for transfering in the “Why are you planning to transfer to USC?” question later on in the short answers. This question is required, so what do I put down? “Prospective transfer to USC,” or do I provide my thorough reasons for transfering. I do not want to repeat myself later on in the short answer question, which I believe is probably more important? Im confused…HELP.

you answered your own question, lol.

Yeah dude, a short answer will do and you can further explain it in your essay.

If you’re really worried about it add a (futher explained in short answer) next to where you write “prospective transfer to USC” assuming that it fits into your short answer.

do we need to answer the part that asks about our “high school id #?”

I am applying for double majors at USC, but there’s only 1 space for a major. What should i do?

Call them.

But whew, at times like now…USC is very, very stressful. It’s crazy how far things have gone!

does any body know the average admitted GPA for Marshall of Business for the Fall 06? Thanks

3.78 (10 char)

Hi everyone!

I’m a cerritos college first semester student wishing to transfer into USC Fall 2007 with about 34 units. My GPA around 3.7-3.9

I heard this rumor that if you dont apply for financial aid you have a better shot of getting accepted. Is this true? I’m having a hard time believing this.

i doubt this is true, ESPECIALLY at USC.

Yeup. Someone at my highschool’s dad was named after a building at USC and he was more than able to pay full tuition. He didn’t get in.

i didn’t understand any of that.

Getting close to doing the part 2 application…

i was wondering…for the extra curricular activities and community service, can i only jot down things in college or high school as well? I’m in my 1st semester in community college and feel i have many good lists from my high school years.

Also! If you can look on page 25 on the part 2 application, under activity summary, #2, it asks for honors or awards received.

I dont think i have anything to jot down… good, bad? Who cares?

What should i do?!

Thanks!

Rewrite: A peer from my high school had a USC building named after his father. This student was more then able to pay full tuition for USC, and he was rejected.

(holy cow my writing tonight has gone to the sharthole)

do i have to do the pre orientation homework? it seems like a pain in the ass.

so over 30 units and they dont even look at my high school and sat right?

Thats what someone at usc told me. cause in high school i had a 3.2 gpa and never did the SAT’s.

but im applying for the fall 2007 with about 34 units and a gpa of approx. 3.7-3.9

Chances? :-)

And if i can ask, what is the lowest gpa you know of someone getting accepted as a transfer into usc school’s arts letter sciences?

I’m eager and am one of those people that are brutally tortured by having to wait for a decision so i want to feel as confident as possible when applying.

:-)

The “lowest” GPA numbers probably go very low, but they are reserved for students who have persevered academically through extenuating circumstances (family deaths, illness, poverty, etc.).

Lowest GPA I ever heard of was 3.5.

I know some one who got in with a 3.0 but his dad had like a really high position in the FBI so he probably knew people.

I was rejected last year with a 3.4 but am applying again this year so i’ll be goin through the torture for a second time.

If you have a 3.7-3.9 you’ll be fine dude. The ad rep that came to my school last month told me that as long as I hold a solid 3.5 both semesters I should be good.
