vonska, how was your fall term man??

Transfer for USC deadline is Feb 1, not Jan 10 right?

Can anybody answer my question and evaluate my stats, please.

vonska, hobo, add me to facebook! my name is steve lizcano.

we gotta meet up. hope you guys are having a kickass time

steve

dude im having the ****ing time of my life. no lies. i love usc now.

and yes we should go drinking and hit up frat row

bh07 - we’re pretty much in the same boat. i’m applying as a sophomore transfer for the neuroscience program. i can’t really evaluate your stats, but it looks like you’re in a pretty good spot. which courses have you taken/are you taking?

other questions -
1a. does anyone know how usc handles advanced standing for transfers? i’m a freshman, but my current school has accepted credit for aps and dual enrollment… so by their records, i’ll have 64 credit hours by the end of spring semester. my main concern is that my high school years were a little rough academically speaking - 3.2 GPA; three or four B’s, one C, and one a D in dual courses. one of my math courses was DE, and i got a B. i’m assuming that my high school record (especially the “college coursework”) is going to be taken into account?
1b. are dual enrollment courses factored into the transfer GPA? i’ve got a 3.8 now, and that would probably screw me over.
2. anyone know how competitive the neuroscience major is?

dude yea vonsk we are getting drunk. i’m in a frat. you have to rush. it’ll be the time of your life. guaranteed!

question to engineering transfer applicants, are you still waiting for the supplemental application form? or you’ve sent your applications already?

one more, in form 7 the transcripts for colleges, do you write your inteded major? or you major in your schools right now. im pretty confused.

also bh07 - where are you coming from?

if you haven’t already done so, you might want to check with a counselor to make sure that your courses would transfer. i was told that they like to make sure you can transfer and still graduate in 4 years… so they take into account whether you can be admitted into the right class (applying rising sophmore, at least 30 credits accepted, admitted as a rising sophmore). if something is borderline, it might help to take an extra class to make sure you’ll have 30 that transfer.

then again, a few people have said they got in even though quite a few of their credits weren’t accepted. who knows.

socal I am transferring from Santa Barbara City College.

and yes all my classes transfer, I am concerned about the student with high GPAs they reject.

assuming you have a high gpa (3.5+), if you complete 2 semesters of non-remedial english and basic math, you should be fine.

i’m having the time of my life as well… usc was definitely worth the wait!!!

hehe congrats hobo. Mind filling us in as to what exactly makes USC so fun and amazing ?

it’s USC - the girls are great, the school helps you out, ppl are nice, everyone parties, our football team rocks - life is good!

Quick question everyone:

I’m a transfer with more than 30 sem units. For the High School Transcript, do WE send it ourselves with our college transcript in the envelope they provide or does the HIGH SCHOOL have to send it. I hope we send it ourselves, because I want them sent ASAP and my high school probably won’t be too keen on overnighting the transcripts. Thanks.

I’m really late on this. Its due in 10 days and I’m barely starting all the paper work! AHH!

BUMP for a procrastinator

what technics said.

decent / improving basketball team

close to LA (area around USC is ghetto, but everywhere else is just 15 minutes away)

Does anybody know how important the essay and short answers are if you have 3.6 or above for CLAS. How long do the short answers typically have to be.

I’m not writing a bad essay but it also isn’t a one of a kind essay either.

Also does mentioning in the optional section that you were rejected the first time and applying again to show eagerness for attending USC help at all or is that does not help at all to the admissions committee

just curious what you guys think about my chances at usc.

3.8 gpa transfering from local cc.
i want to apply to the marshall school of business
60+ units

i’ve taken all the prerequises (stat, calc, 3 semesters of english, macro and micro econ) All a’s except 1 b in calc.

EC’s: Eagle scout, teachers assistant, and I’ve started my own business.

Also, should i list sports and activities i did in high school? Do i need to submit high school transcripts?
