here are the courses i’ve taken & will be taking:

My high school GPA is approximately a 3.5, took 7 aps (4s on most). honor roll. captain of academic decathlon [total of ten awards], founded a culture club on campus. volunteered at a library & hospital. part of FBLA. Lower grades during junior year due to family problem, explained in question 4 of usc app.

I know I’ll complete all of the requirements by the end of Spring '07. I’m currently part of Alpha Gamma Sigma, Deans list, & will be volunteering at the Gamble House.

Please chance me! =)

I just submitted my application…

I submitted mine about 4 days ago too andyl…do you mind posting your curriculum ?. What major did you apply for by the way ?

Curioustrojan06: Your stats are indeed impressive. I don’t think you have anything to worry about. BUT, we all know how good USC is at turning down individuals who actually have potential.

Yes, and sophomore status applicants are generally looked at with an emphasis on High School grades due to the lack of units. In any case, your High School record is good also. Do you have a 2nd choice major? I dont really know anything about Marshall or what their requirements are. I applied to Annenberg with a secondary English major for safety :).

… cheers!

curuioustroojan, i think you’re in at USC for sure. I’m not sure if you will get into marshall thoguh, as admissions is tough. However, it is very easy to transfer from ECon to marshall once you’re in. I’m currently in econ right now and my counselor basically said to take a marshall class, and make sure i get a B or better in that class and have above a 3.0 and i’m basically in. Good luck.

Thanks so much for your input. I’ve read every page on this discussion thread and it seems to me… that i’ll be here for a while. Let’s say mid July? I really appreciate all the input. Its really calming my nerves some. I’m turning in my application tomorrow and all the paperwork is done.

Just wondering, is it required to send AP scores?

what about meeeee…check out stats please? and yes…also wondering, should i list my ap scores b/c its listed as optional. i have two 4s three 3s and one 2. not brag-worthy material. HELP!!

for high school transcripts, do you have to go to ur highschool and ask them for a printout of ur transcript? i dont understand how that works.

biggyboy: theres only room for like four Aps right? on the application? i’d list your two 4s and two 3s. it cant hurt.

colin387: i had to go to my high school’s record office and fill out a transcript request form.

Just submitted mine a few minutes ago…good to be done w/ all my apps! Bring on the acceptances!!

but do you need to send them the official AP scores through the college board?..and what about my chances ? ;]

Chances are prolly better than mine, I’m holdin down a 3.3 history gpa. Yet I feel like if I tell myself I’ll get in, well, then I’ll get in…that’s the plan at least

yeah i read somewhere that you have to send it through collegeboard. i’m not too experienced to really chance anyone… how many units are you transferring with?

well im a freshman and ill have 31 by then end of the year.

I think you might have to send SAT/SAT II scores through collegeboard. Express payment takes 2 days = $24 (roughly). Regular payment takes a couple of weeks. For the incoming juniors you don’t have to turn in SATs if you have more than 30 units. If you did fantastic on those, then by all means turn them in.

… cheers

biggyboy: Since you will have about 30 semester units at the end of the second semester your high records and SAT scores will not matter. As mentioned earlier it is really tough to get into Marshall but if you apply to economics under the CLAS you should be in (as long as you do not have anything lower than a C).

As hobofromdowntown said you can transfer to econ. I have talked to CLAS and say it is very easy to that once you are admitted.

Now somebody chance me:

3.5 GPA (first semester)
All pre-reqs in progress.
everything completed or in progress except for Cat. III
Sophomore with 30 semester units at the end of the spring semester
First choice: Sociology
Second choice: History

if SATs are optional(aka i have over 30 units) but i still listed them in the online app, does that mean i also have to have collegeboard send in the scores?
