Thats a good question. Yuwmic are you speaking specifically for sophomore status applicants or junior applicants? Both?

isnt it around 25-30% for both sophmores and jrs ?

I think admittance rate is 25% or something. I don’t know if thats just for transfer or all the applicants.

USC is becoming very overpopulated.

I’m going to immediately send in my spring grades once they are available, even if USC doesn’t ask.

It takes them a while to process transcripts and IF they request your spring grades, the decision takes LONGER. Just send it in when its ready so you are one step ahead of them. Plus, if you DO get admitted, and you send in your 3.0 spring term or something, its not like they will revoke your admission. Spring grades will only help you, it won’t hurt you at all.

i hope lots of unqualified people apply cause most of the people in this thread seem good to go.

Reading the Freshman USC profile, on the left, its says that 2700 ppl are entering freshmans. They accepted 8600 people for fall. So I’m guessing the 5900 (give or take minus the spring admits) are transfer students??? >.<

dory, maybe the 8600 number is all freshman acceptances, since they expect some students to reject USC for another college. usually transfers have higher admit rates than freshmen

Transfer rates vary depending on what school you go to as well. Santa Monica College applicants might have a better chance than let’s say Glendale Community College Students.

it has nothing to do with WHERE you go to cc, it’s just the fact that since smc is in la, more kids are going to want to go to an la school. Same reason smc sends tons of kids to ucla…it’s not that it’s easier to go from smc to ucla, just that everyone who goes to smc tends to apply there.

my sig.usc.edu is active, but it hasn’t been updated since the end of january. the most reliable way to know if they’ve received something is to go ahead and call.

how do you know when your account was updated socal ?

i faxed a form on the 26th. i called on the 31st and was told that the admissions online system had been updated to show that they’d received it, but the sig.usc.edu system hadn’t been updated yet. they said it usually takes at least a week and up to two for the info to be transferred over.

how do you activate sig account? i got error page even though i have right id# and dob. also, does a 3.5 at a four year university count more than 3.5 at community college. since university is more difficult?

can someone tell me the purpose of the sig.usc.edu site ? this is the first time I have heard of it

also when sending our high school transcripts, do we need to attach anything additional to them, or do we just make sure that there is a barcode attached to the envelope?

There was a form that you have to attach to the HS transcript

What happens if you sent your college transcripts without the Form #7 college transcripts sheet. I sent my transcripts before I got my ID stickers that you attach on the barcode of documents. I also got a letter stating that I am missing my college transcript but I sent them like three weeks ago. Should I send them again?

i got the same letter even though i sent my transcripts 2 weeks ago. the letter says to ignore it if you send your transcripts. they probably just havent filed ours yet.

I hand written my USC ID# when I sent in the form. Then when I received the stickers,I use them.

I emailed them and they told me everything seems to be in order.I’m going to call again Monday to make sure they have all my transcripts.

Just a question, website says we find out by June 1… anyone know when decisions start rolling out? Just curious :)
