USC transfers.

they expected you to send in official transcripts from dual enrollment courses, right? i got a letter saying they were waiting for my college transcripts, but sig still hasn’t been updated… so is there a way to know which transcripts they’re waiting for?

LaxAttack09: It depends on class standing
For juniors they often get notified by late April or May
for sophomores they get asked for spring grades by June 1st and get admission decisions from June-July
spring admits get notified from April to as late as August

In SIG:
College Transcripts Cover Sheet
Insufficient UG Part 1 Fee - Dom

I know my college sent the coversheet when I requested my midyear grade to be sent to USC. Also, I paid all the required fee after I completed the part 1 of the application.

Why do they still have these documents as “unreceived”?

how do I activate my sig account? I typed in the correct USC ID# and date of birth and it still gives me an error.

is there a phone number that I can call?

https://sig.usc.edu/Users/Activation.cfm?

It worked for me =/
You should call USC.

Sig doesn’t work for me either. I submitted my app on the 20th of Feb too!

For high school transcripts, do I go to my school as an alumni and request they be sent to USC using the request form, or can I just fax them the one I received from graduation (2 years ago) that contains the stamp of authentication ?

Must be sealed. No fax.

does usc accept students in the spring, or is it fall only?

any transfer applicants heard from them yet?

viterbi said they’ll be releasing results by march1.

Q: Does USC accept freshman and transfer applications for the spring semester?
A: USC no longer accepts freshman or transfer applications for spring admission. However, a small number of fall applicants will be offered spaces in the spring semester.

meaning you can’t apply for spring anymore, but they could place you there

People last year received spring admission. You can not apply for spring admission. If you do get accepted for fall, I’m sure to can defer a semester.

Question:

I submitted my College Transcript and my H.S. Transcript Cover sheets on February 2nd. By then I did not have my ID (I sent my app in Jan. 31st) or the barcodes… so I was confused as to what to put there… I left it blank.

Is this a big problem? Or will they fix it for me? Should I resend everything with the barcodes?

Thanks.

I hope transfers get good, grant-friendly Financial aid packages too and not packages loaded with tenths of thousands of $$ worth of loans…

theprof: i would imagine they could file everything without the barcodes, but it might take a little longer for your transcripts to actually make it to your file. try calling the admissions office to make sure they know to expect.

does anyone know when transfer scholarship info comes out? are they going to send out acceptance letters for transfers that got scholarships before the other decision letters come out?

are there scholarships for transfers ?, I think not, only grants…anybody more familiar with this ?

is this the correct address to mail my transcripts?

University of Southern California
Office of Admission
University Park Campus
Los angeles, CA 90089-0911

yes it is the correct address

they give out a limited number of transfer merit scholarships. i was mainly referring to the alumni scholarships - transfers were also eligible for most of those, and the notification deadline is april 15th. i’m thinking they wouldn’t tell you that you’ve been awarded a scholarship before you’ve been admitted… so will transfer students that have been awarded scholarships also find out about their admissions decisions on april 15th?

i called office, said a few scholarships available, in 1000-2000 range. and yes we do get notified earlier although i forgot to ask when. socal probaly right. 1000-2000 is fairy small. but then i forgot about financial aid. anybody know average financial aid for transfers?
