USC transfers.

I don’t know their average financial package, but it depends on what your EFC (they decide it) comes out to be. They say they meet 100% of your demonstrated need and their packages are heavy on grants, though not 100% grant-based.

How do they give merit scholarships for transfer is they don’t require test scores (at least for juniors they don’t) ? is it based on gpa or something else ?

transfer merit:
“Selected based on grade point average in transferable courses and rigor of course selection. Last year’s recipients had an average GPA above 3.7 and had completed more then 30 transferable units at the time their application was submitted.”

i wonder how lenient they’ll be about the date your file was considered complete… they asked that everything be in by feb 1st, but they got backed up and processed some of the transcripts late.

i sent my college and highschool transcripts 3 1/2 weeks ago and it still says on sig.usc.edu that they havent gotten it.

yeah, same for college transcripts. i don’t know what the deal is with the admissions doc tracking… because the finaid docs are updated like every day.

To be 100% sure, call the admissions office. I did that about 3 or 4 days ago and they told me they already had my college transcripts (not yet the HS ones) and today I got a letter in the mail reminding me to send my college transcripts, so I don’t know how often they update their websites…

Can someone help me with SIG? I don’t exactly know where to check for which documents they received. This is what I do.

I log in
I click on the My Admissions Checklist
I click on “Click here if you would like to browse available forms in our document library.”
Then I look under the “Received” column and see documents listed.

I assume that those are the documents they received? Am I doing this right?

startraksfinest - that’s right. if you’ve applied before, note that the received list does include documents from past years.

my high school is closed for president’s week! i still didnt send my transcripts

btw…i applied to marshall, though i did not take writing I at college because i was allowed to skip it and go on to writing ii in which i received an A.

how do i state that on the marshall supplement form of course equivalency? help!

wow this is so weird, i wrote my 2nd post first and somehow the one that starts “btw…” was listed first.

i think it sucks that we dont hear from USC until June 1, while for ucla, we hear may 15, wth?

15 days… suck it up. Either way you aren’t getting into both of them…

I keed I keed. :D

wth

here’s something i remember from earlier in the application process but needs confirmation:

we get UC decisions mid-mayish. but we must turn in Statements of Intent on June 1st-ish.

BUT USC decisions come out June 1st.

So, what if you want to hold out on the UC Intents until after receiving the USC decision?

If I am mistaken on the dates, then ok. but if I am not, then like, ***?
has anyone given this any thought?

Okay, I wasn’t going to say anything, but who said anything about Mid-May? UCLA says late April and Berk says April 30th. Where’s everyone getting May from?

haha yeah, for real. uc decisions start coming out mid-MARCH, but even the latest decisions will be available by the end of april.

it does suck that the intents for the ucs (and pretty much all other schools) are due before usc even sends out notices… especially since many of the june 1st letters could be spring grade requests. it looks like the ucs require housing apps and everything by june 1st, BUT i figure i’ll cross that bridge when i get to it… because seriously, even though usc is my first choice, getting into ucla or berkeley and having to wait on an acceptance to usc would be a pretty nice problem to have.

yeah they dont update their sig.usc site very often. I just called and they received my stuff even though the site doesnt say so.

i said may because thats when my friend got his decision in the mail.

ok cool socal? agrees

anybody else see this as problematic? any way to get around it?

so where you all going to live when you get in? ;)
