theoritcally speaking, if less freshman commit to sc and less upper classmen attend would that mean there would be more space for transfers students?

chocolategabanna: i would assume that you are right.

well then i hope that happens cuz that would be nice :D

but in one of the letters from usc…
it says that they are offering fewer spots for transfer

Yeh, i remember that letter but I was wondering though, maybe they could increase it if alot of the freshmen did not decide to go.

i think they got a lot more applications from “qualified freshmen” than usual… and offered admission to more freshmen than usual.

You guys fail to realize that USC is already overpopulated.

si’?
10 char

some of my friends already got admission packets from marshall. (I think their spec is outstanding.) - junior transfer, from CCC

marshall started already?? so do you know if anyone get rejected yet?

it seems like there going through all the junior transfers and sophmore transfers who have finished all of the requirements for their particular school or major and deciding wheter they get it in or not. Im guessing after that then they would send out spring request or rejection letters for the sophmores who haven’t completed everything for their particular majors.

where do you check for decisions?

I don’t think you can check your decisions online. They will mail the decisions.

chocolategabanna is right. you can check only by mail packet. they would not tell you about decision via phone or email. I guess rejection mail will send to late in may or probably june or july. (depends on spring grade request)

Well im glad its the first day of May, because this month the majority of us will get some kind of answer from admissions.

Hey all- I will give my insight and experience.

I applied to Marshall last year as a sophomore at SDSU. I had all the prereqs finished but a 3.3. They asked for spring grades on June 1st, but I did not get my rejection letter until July 15th.

I have taken ALOT more units since then with the hope of raising my GPA. I applied again to marshall with a 3.55 (but I will have a 3.7 with my spring grades). I basically got a 4.0 the last 2 semesters with the goal of transferring.

Now I sit and wait to hear back.

I have already been rejected by the UC’s, but that is because I have too many units for a transfer applicant(Which seems like a bunch of crap).

Good luck to everyone!

what is the maximum units/credits transferrable? Do they have a cap?

Has anyone heard from the School of Theater yet for transfers?

Can anyone list really recent stats for accepted transfers? I think I’ll be attending UCSD this fall and I want to apply to transfer to USC as a sophomore transfer.

I’m not really worried about the transfer process, because USC accepts a large percentage of transfers, but I just want to see if the process is more competitive or not?

JTloverYorS, what college are you at for sd?..i’m planning to do the same
