<p>i just got my spring grades. all of my class turned out good except for 1 and that 1 class completely screwd my semester and overall gpa. ill probably be getting rejected in july. gl to the rest of you.</p>
<p>What class was it, how bad was the grade and what is your overall and semester GPA?</p>
<p>i had a 3.71 first semester. I got a C+ in calculus which dropped my 2nd semester gpa to a 3.33 (with out it, it would be a 3.68). my overall gpa is a 3.52 now.</p>
<p>thats not terrible unless you’re trying to get into the business or Engineering school. 3.52 is still pretty good man. What school are you at right now?</p>

<p>mrpuppy - did they end up updating your STARS report to include more accepted transfer credits?</p>
<p>i’m a sophomore transfer with some dual enrollment and ap credits; my current school has me at 61 credits, including spring '07. so far, my STARS report shows that only 5 of my dual + fall '06 credits have been transferred over under “earned credits”… but my transfer credit report says that the majority of my coursework has not yet been evaluated. this means that my STARS report will be updated again so that i won’t be considered a freshman again at usc, right? did most of your credits transfer over?</p>
<p>Yes, I transferred in from two schools. They were missing a complete school until orientation. I talked to a few people and it was just an oversight, they fixed it up and put the rest in after that. When I first transferred it said I was a sophomore, then after orientation I was a junior… they also kind of changed around what classes fit what in the list… so, I wouldn’t worry about it. Talk to your advisor and you should be fine.</p>

<p>eh, honestly, a C+ in calc will hurt your chances for Econ but if you have a bunch of credits, it may not totally kill your chances. Last year I got a terrible grade in Bio (D) while taking 20 credits and it was what eventually led to my rejection. Hopefully it doesn’t turn out the same way for you.</p>
<p>it sucks cause i wanted to take the equivalent to bus. calc but my school doesnt offer it so i was stuck with the one all the engineers take.</p>

<p>are you gonna try to take the regular one at a CC this summer? I’d consider doing it if you really want to go to SC, especially if you can get the grade in before the June 30th deadline for spring grades.</p>

<p>BH07, they were semester units and taken over 3 semesters. I’m still waiting to hear any news about scholarships or units transfered. Just have to wait and see.</p>

I dropped froma 3.7 to a 3.0 from fall to spring last year and yeah, i didn’t get in but if you summer session finishes shortly after june 30th and you get the spring grade request, i’d send in the grades anyway assuming that they take a while to get back to you (which they will)</p>
<p>so then, what’s competitive for business at marshall? because i really dont know, so im asking. gpa, grades…w/e. i mean, i have a B in micro, and a b in third quarter managerial acct. i dunno what im gonna get in calc, but i dont think its gonna be an A. at most A-, but i REALLY dont think so. im lookin at a B. and my grades/gpa i think will swing me somewhere around 3.7 by the end of spring.</p>
