IIIII, the pre reqs your talking about for sophmore transfers are just having the 2 english classes and the minimum math requirment of intermediate algebra because you only those finished to be accepted but doesn’t neccesarily mean that you have to enter the school that you want to get into unless you already have all the prereqs done to get into that school, but for junior transfers, your talking about the prereqs to get into the particular schools must be completed within usc such as marshall and viterbi which you need to have all the prereqs done or you would rejected right?

and biggboy, I live in Cali and I havent received a spring request for grades yet, but I haven’t checked my mail today so maybe I will get one.

What? That didn’t make a lot of sense… can you use punctuations? kthnxbye

IIIII, the pre reqs your talking about for sophmore transfers are just having the 2 english classes and the minimum math requirment of intermediate algebra completed to be accepted. Im saying you only need those classes finished to be accepted to USC but doesn’t neccesarily mean that you would be accepted into the particular school within USC that you want to get into unless you already have all the prereqs done to get into that school. For junior transfers though, your talking about the prereqs to get into the particular schools must be completed within usc such as marshall and viterbi which you need to have all the prereqs done or you would be rejected right?

el rey - that sounds like a good plan. as long as your grades are strong, you should be just fine for usc. if you’re planning on applying to the ucs, you’ll probably want to focus on those prereqs more so than anything for usc, as the ucs are much stricter.

confused_junior - what’s your intended major? take calc, if you can. for english, you need to take two semesters of intro to english comp. if you took the ap lang & lit exam, check to see if how many credits your score will earn.

ok thanks, socal. for the intro to english comp does it have to literally be english comp? or can it just be a writing class? becuase i have to take this english class for sd-marshall: DOC. thanks! i’ll probably be taking the other class too because i most likely didn’t do that well on the awpe

go in accordance with the school you are currently at to see exactly what classes your school provides that will fulfill the requirement for usc. ive been using this since day one.

if your school is not listed then it is best to call the school directly while still regarding the articulation site or within the articulation, find another UC school if they are there with articulation agreements.

it is not stated on the site, but in person at usc i have seen the percentages of acceptance rates among community college transfers. i dont know about UC’s or Cal’s.

Santa Barbara community college is like #1 for ppl wanting to transfer into usc. my college, cerritos college is like #4 i think.

theres this cute girl named barbara in my poli sci class. maybe thats it. awww barbara.

anyways…

ummm… damn. i used to know the acceptance rate for community college transfers. man. i could’ve given you an answer in a flash if this was nov. 06.

can anyone else answer? i dont wanna give a wrong response. I think it was 1 in 4 transfer applications are accepted? sorry, i dont remember exactly.

el rey - i never saw the number but 1 in 4 sounds about right. Alot of people on CC who are attending CC’s flip out when they see that alot of prospetive community college transfers are more than qualified, but I can assure you that there are a load of people applying to SC who have a sub 3.0 GPA.

I know this one chick in my CCC who has like a 3.75 gpa with a bunch of remedial classes but her GPA in transferable classes is sub 3.0. Shes also applying for the same 2 programs I am so I’m pretty sure thats one less person I have to compete with.

BTW, no one answered my Chance Me post! I’m kinda offended, lol.

I do agree. My friend applied with a 3.2 and shes so excited because she thinks she’s a shoe in because her essay is so persuasive. I don’t even know if the 3.2 includes any remedial classes. Maybe SC will be nice and accept her? She applied to Marshall!

My other friend is applying to Communications with a 3.4 I wonder if she has a chance?

If she gets in and I don’t, I think I’ll go jump off the HB pier.

honestly Doryx, I dont think your friends are going to get in, just because Ive heard that anywhere from a 3.6 and up is competetive and even people with high gpas get rejected. Especially those particular schools that you listed, makes their chances even slimmer. The only people that Ive heard of that have gotten in with lower gpas are people who are majoring in things like engineering because its such a hard major.
