rejectedFromMIT-
Did you get accepted into Upenn and rejected from USC?

yeah I got accepted into UPenn SEAS and rejected by USC Viterbi

Kamikaze484 and goldenjet, im also in the same position with grades, but I got my grade request last friday.

K. Well, I’m a Viterbi student, and though I’d say UPenn is a better ‘school’, Viterbi is one of the very best engineering schools in the world. I’d say you probably should have gotten in, but they’re damn picky.

two of my friends got in Viterbi EE major but rejected from all the UCs they applied (ucb, ucla, ucsd)… . one has close to 3.2 gpa… the other one has 3.3… i got in ucb eecs with 3.96gpa but got grade request from usc…

i have no idea how they evaluate applicants… -______-|||

I was going to choose UPenn anyways

i applied for my passport earlier today and was told that i will be getting my passport by june 16th, plenty of time before i head out to china on the 3rd of july.

i dont remember if i provided the site…

http://www.uschinaedu.org/program.asp

so, im sure this will look on my usc app for fall 08.

called again… STILL no decision…

Now I’m really getting worried.

goldenjet- does it feel like deja vu?

has anyone gotten into the communications program?

ScorBust-hahaha no. I got a grade request last year, then ****ed up in Bio and got a D my spring semsester (20 credits, full time job) and I kinda expected to get rejected after that.

I re took it with a B in the fall and am sitting on 67 credits with a 3.6 overall and as i said before, a 4.0 this semester.

I know theres the possibility i’ll be accepted right off the bat but NO WAY does a 3.6 get it done.

The furniture in my place should be very worried, lol.

i’m with you goldenjet. btw does anybody know if you can change your 2nd choice major after you receive spring grade requests?

Right now my 1st choice is history and my 2nd choice is poly sci, but the thing is I haven’t taken any poly sci classes.

At this point I really wish I had put classics as my 2nd choice major. Anybody know anybody that got in as a classics major???

SCorBust-
You should call and ask about the changing the second major. I just added a second major a few days ago and the people at the admission office told me to just fax them a letter and an email saying that I want to add a second major.

Anyway to change your first major… lol

if you’ve gotten your spring grades i doubt u can change either since they’ve already looked at all your stuff and wont go through the whole admissions process for another program.

BTW, is anyone here still waiting for a decision who didnt recieve a grade request? Or is it just me? I’m already preparing my self for the worst so it doesnt suck as much if and when it happens.

goldenjet, I am also waiting for a decision and i haven’t received a spring request. I am getting really worried too.

btw can somebody tell me my chances. I thought I had a decent shot, but i think i am getting rejected now

School: Vanderbilt
Major: biology/premed, economics (have almost completed all pre req classes except for physics)
College GPA: 3.73

SAT: math 790 verbal 710
High school gpa: 3.8 uw, 4.3 w
Ecs: Business Club, Hospital volunteer, and HIV research with professor

Anyone who has gotten in receive financial aid reports already?? I can’t even seem to login to see it, though I have been on oasis and there doesn’t seem to be any information other than the fact that I submitted all documents.

dude with those stats coming from vandy, id say you’ve got a great shot.

Why are you leaving vandy? It’s a great school.

Edit: BTW, your stats kick my stats ass other than EC’s, but they don;t really matter at this point.

A lot of people haven’t received a spring request yet, me included. I notice everyone who has been admitted have a 3.9+ GPA and those with spring request is random.

really? i was under the impression that mostpeople on this board has recieved a grade request or a decision already. But to know that there are a few others besides me who haven’t is some what comforting. I don;t think they’re sending out any more grade requests, so those of us who haven;t heard may get an outright decision.
