shacky - The english and Match requirments are imperative for admission. I’m surprised they havnet rejected you yet without them. Consider yourself lucky.

As fore your question, there is a chance they may take you on for the spring if they like you well enough if u have that class in progress. Make sure you let them knowt that you’re taking it though.

Amanda- To quote a common DoryX line, Simple answer is yes. Annenberg is one of the toughest schools to get into.

I hope I finally hear tomorrow. If its a spring grades request I might be more ****ed than if I get flat out rejected because itll just give them the ability to reject me on my bday which is mid july.

hey thanks a lot for your response to my dilemma. yea i mean i cant really remember what i wrote in my essay too specifically, but i think it was something along the lines of how i didn’t know what i wanted to do with my life at the time. everyone i talk to tells me that the fact that i overcame a huge problem will add to my good grades, but i just have my doubts. im 22 years old and i feel like its now or never to get school done, you know? especially after totally being away from it for a few years. i guess i just have to hope for the best. i did my part, now hopefully they see things from my side.

Communications is definately impacted right now. I was accepted as a sociology major but when i switched it to communications, now i was asked for spring grades. So if u want an easy acceptance, dont apply to hard majors! lol

perhaps, doryx, but i haven’t received housing from nyu unfortunately and that was one of my major reasons for applying. i hear nyu does get a lot of transfers from usc though. can stern really offer that much more than marshall?

man, I haven’t slept at all. If SC says that they have to mail their decisions out by June 1st, that means they have to make them today for those of us who havent recieved anything.

CCman - send them where you sent the rest of your stuff

hey goldenjet, ive read through basically this whole thread and it seems like you have been involved in this process for a while. have you ever thought of applying to other schools besides USC? because your grades seem to be pretty good and there are other school that are really similar to USC like Vanderbilt, emory, UCSB, WF, UCSD, UCLA, UF, UMiami, UNC, etc. because we all know how competitive USC can be, so you probably shouldnt be set on one school.
however, i shouldnt be telling you what to do haha

TIP- I felt like I was really ****ing close last year and I owed it to my self to try again this year. If it doesn’t work out this time around, I’ll open my self up to more options for sure. I know it isn’t the smartest approach in the world but it’s just how I roll, lol.

I’d love to attend UNC if SC doesnt work out but as an out of state student, it’s really ****ing hard. Wake and Vandy are both great schools but I’m not really a southern guy and the social life at UCSD sucks from what I’ve heard.

I’d rather lose both of my berries (ok maybe not) then attend UCLA or UF and I’ll die before I become a Hurricane (hated the U since I was like 6)

goldenjet- for your list, I am transferring from UMass.

With that said, I am not believing I’ve been accepted until I get the packet from USC. I have not even received a spring grade request. I am all the way in New York though, so it probably takes forever for things to get here…

By the way, I just got my spring grades. I had a bit of a down semester, 4 A’s and 1 C for a 3.6. Is the C enough for me to get rejected? It is in Calculus II, and the explanation would be: “I suck in Calculus.”
