<p>hi everyone. im new to this but im just soo happy that theres something like this so we can talk about our letters. I got a spring request letter on May 23rd. I was just wondering if anyone knows that when you send your spring grades do they review your WHOLE application again or just the spring grades?</p>

<p>Hey guys, first time posting in this monster of a thread lol…</p>
<p>I applied to USC as a junior transfer from SUNY Stony Brook with a 3.97 GPA, 76 credits (including 18 research credits), decent EC’s, great recommendations, etc., interested in both their Neuroscience and Health Promotion and Disease Prevention majors… </p>
<p>I did not receive a spring grades request, although a representative did contact me last week regarding a transcript issue which was resolved. I called today just to check the status of my application and the representative said my decision would be sent via US Mail today; I just checked the Deposit Commitment Form area and for the first time, I was able to log in, (hehe), so I’m pretty sure this indicates that I have been accepted. :)</p>
<p>So, for those still waiting, dont worry about rejection, they are still getting to paperwork and you should hear soon.</p>
<p>Will I be attending? Ehh, I got into Hopkins, Im pretty sure Im heading there instead, although the California weather is beyond tempting. </p>

<p>For people who attend multiple colleges, did you send in spring grades of a college, even if you didn’t attend this semester? I attended 3 colleges during Winter Term, but only one in spring. USC is asking for 2 other transcripts that say “didn’t attend this semester”</p>

<p>Doryx, have you sent in those winter transcripts already? becuase if you did I don’t know why they’re asking you to send them again, or even a notification from the schools you attended for something that says “didn’t attend this semester.” </p>
<p>But call those schools and see if they can do that if thats was SC wants. </p>
<p>Tanya - I don’t know what you know about Hopkins, but I do know that it’s a totally cut throat environment. If it’s where your hearts at I’m not gonna tell you not to go, but if it isn’t, I do think you should seriously consider going to USC instead.</p>
<p>Ive been working on a research paper all day and am sick od doing that so I’m gonna start working on a few college essays for next year (it’s ****ing early as hell for that but I’m totally amped for re applying.) I compiled a list of 5 schools I will be applying to and luckily for me, USC uses the same questions every year so I already know what they’re going to ask.</p>

goldenjet i was just curious in what you plan on majoring in? i’ve been rather anxious this whole day just thinking about the transfer process (and i haven’t even graduated yet, 1 more week though!). i really want to do the same thing that you are and try to get a list of potential schools besides usc, but not schools that are really far behind usc. i plan on going into business or business law in case you were wondering.</p>
<p>golden- so what’s on your preliminary list for next year? </p>
<p>i got rejected from cornell and got into tulane and wake forest, although i probably won’t go even if i don’t get into sc. if i don’t get in i’m gonna apply to the same schools along with columbia and pepperdine.</p>
<p>ScorBust - Harvard, Princeton, Yale, UPenn and Stanford and I expect to get into all 5. </p>
<p>In all seriousness: SC, Northwestern, U of Michigan, Wesleyan and Sarah Lawerence- SC at the top, NW second, Michigan and Wesleyan are pretty much tied and Sarah Lawerence at the end. BTW grats on getting into Wake, it’s an awesome school. Pepperdine is a decent school with a beautiful campus and Columbia is ridiclously tough to trasnfer into, but you knew that already. </p>
<p>fight on - I want to go into film but would be happy being a Creative Writing major since it would help lead me into a film career anyway. </p>
<p>As for other schools to apply to, I know U of Washington has a good business program if you don’t want to leave the west coast. U of Illinois, University of Texas and UNC all have programs at the same level of SC.</p>
<p>goldenjet: thanks for that list. ill be looking into washington as i never knew about that before. and texas seems a stretch for me because i’m out of state. i applied earlier this year and didn’t get in and after that i heard i had to be the cream of the crop to be accepted if i wasn’t a texas resident. the transfer process is nerve wracking and this is just from thinking about it, and the process hasn’t really started for me. good luck to everyone out there.</p>
