USC transfers.

yes, that is what I am asking

My birthday is July 8. I enjoy the 4 of July, as well. In Houston, they have fireworks downtown, and everybody fills the freeways and streets and stops to watch. Its really a beautiful thing. I also consider myself to be quite patriotic (a lover of America). I love the USA. I am very interested in the American political system. I like political science. I love fireworks. That’s me.

You should see it one day, the skyscrapers in Houston at night are impressive. With the fireworks, its amazing.

But honestly, I’ve been thinking a lot about changing my username to…

acehole.

I doubt its taken. If anyone takes it now, they are a rat ■■■■■■■. Acehole sounds so cool. But my status would go back to new member.

MY JUNIOR MEMBER STATUS IS ALL I HAVE LEFT. (TEAR)

I just called the admissions office again.

Rep said the decision has been made but wont be mailed out until next week…

I dont like the sound of that :/

Goldenjet, what are your stats…junior or sophomore transfer? Major?

I would actually LIKE the sound of that if I were you. Think about it, don’t you think a rejection letter is simple to mail out? It’s just a small letter in a small envelope. The acceptence packet, OTOH, is a bid deal. They print out these fancy shmancy certificate of acceptance, it’s a big packet, more papers to send out, etc.

(trying to get your hopes up. but really, it sounds logical)

ahaha thanks king james, i didn’t think of it that way.

I have a 3.5 GPA and applied as a creative writing major. GPA would have been higher but I got a D in Biology last semester- thats what has me really iffy. I’ve completed 3 semesters of college so that makes me a sophomore and a half.

So they’re not really going to consider your SAT scores or HS GPA? I wouldn’t be too worried. At least you got a D in Bio as a CW major as opposed to a Bio or engineering major. Besides, you still managed to pull off a 3.5 which means you did awesome in your other classes.

How many semester of english have you taken?

i wish they would mail something to me :(

I’m worried because a D is a D even if Im not a science major. My overall GPA is a 3.5, my semester one was a 3.0.

I took 2 semesters of english comp and I took a 200 level english class. I have all my GE’s done except the ones you have to take at the school, one semester of spanish (which i can probably test out of) and bio (since my grade isnt high enough)

golden -

if the D really was a problem, why would they have waited to reject you - it seems like they would have done that weeks ago?

Dear goldenjet,

SET YOUR MIND AT EASE. I’ve got a D on my transcript as well, and I’m still in the game. Trust in the unchanging hand of God.

july4

Was the D in the spring semester, or last fall? I can see your cause for concern, I won’t ******** you… it won’t look good to admissions and makes you less competitive. I too have some abysmal grades on my transcripts from Florida… I am always nervous that they’ll keep me from getting where I want to be… even though for the last 2 years I’ve held a solid 4.0. Listen, if it turns out that the D nailed you this time, try and get grade forgiveness for it this Fall and just reapply. It’s not the end of the world. I’m way late in finishing my degree… I may not get accepted this fall either, but at this point I realize, hell… what’s one more year. Just stay positive, hope for the best and have a back up plan incase the worst comes your way… no matter what, it’s not the end of your story, there is always next fall… that may not be what you want to hear, but you’re not alone.

Yes…
but the D is something showed to them a while back. It seems they would have rejected you by now if it was going to be the deciding factor. There must be something else they see that is interesting them.

mrpuppy I appreciate your honesty and I look at it the same way.

The d was something I got last semester, they didnt see the grade before they asked for my spring grades which is why im really  right now.

I am convinced that we are all getting in.

I’d now like to pre-emptively congratulate all of ya’ll.

golden,

oh I see why you are nervous.

hey, relax…chill pills for everybody.

Yeah,
cuz when I go to last years info, some people were getting notices in the middle of July…

stay calm…it may be a while…and this is so unpredictible…

college girl- yeah, the grade is my only one under a B but that doesn’t make it look any better.

July 4th- I wish it was that easy. I hope that you’re right and we all get in.
