If Jersey is the armpit of America, Riverside is the asshole of America…
i just got my transcript today, not so hot but im sending it in anyways.

anyone know which majors are notorious for being “easy” to transfer into. (not easy, but easiER). I’m guessing sociology and poly-sci? Because once you’re IN at USC, can’t you transfer over to a different major later? lets say im in as a soci major, can’t i just switch to ECON once i have the major prerequisites complete? I can’t imagine the ECON BA major at USC actually has a whole application process and such.

goldenjet,
i wouldn’t worry that they said next week. Maybe they just made your decision on Friday or late thursday and the mail doesn’t got until Monday or something. I hope you get in!

KingJames,
I don’t think it matters what major you apply to for the College of Arts and Letters (or whatever its called…) I’m pretty sure they are all the same difficulty to get in but it is easy to transfer between majors (as long as they are in the same college). Also, everyone is automatically considered for undeclared anyways so it doesn’t matter if you don’t get in your first choice major, you might still get in the school.

good luck everyone! =)

That makes two of us, lol! I surprisingly have alot of people pulling for me to get in (even my parents, and they were 100000% against me applying at first.) It almost seems like I have to get in but unfortunatley, My life is not a bad hollywood script.

But you’re most probably right about them coming to a decision late thursday/friday since it’s logical. My ability to see the obvious is just temporarily impared :)

Hey golden, I forgot - how long was it from when you sent spring grades in?

i sent them june 1st. Technically they got them a week and a half later and their decision was formed almost 3 weeks after i sent them.

GoldenJet, are you going to be an incoming sophomore? or junior? If sophomore, at least you know you could always apply next year if you don’t get in. Do you have any back up schools?

Life ain’t always fair… I submitted in late May, but still no decision. I’m pulling for you too, Goldenjet.

Technics, are you still without a decision?

I NEED A (FAVORABLE) DECISION!

KJ- Im a sophomore and a half. I didnt start college until spring 05.

I don;t have any back up schools. It’s SC or nothing.

golden,

Is there a request for additional info on your sig acct or Oasis?

Alright, I hope you get in man. Were your EC’s gret to make up for the Bio grade…or does SC not care about EC’s for transfers?

college girl- Everything in my SIG falls under “these items have been recieved and reviewed” column. I haven’t been able to log on to OASIS.

King James- I was VERY involved in High School and I still do some of the same activities I did in HS (not as much offered at my school and I work full time.)

If anything will get me in, It will be my character qualities/life expierence. Although Im starting to wish that I had my english prof write me a reccomendation- They aren’t required but she LOVES me.

I thought SC doesn’t take transfer recs.

And wow, this whole transferring to USC is taking over my god damn life…and i won’t be a freshman in college until august! in TWELVE months from now i’ll know the decision. damn, that sucks.

didn’t kaitylin have something different on her sig site when her letter had been mailed?

they dont require rec’s for transfers, but you can send them if you want.

I think Kaitlyn said she had some Financial aid info on her OASIS or SIG before she found out- I didnt apply for financial aid.

Oh, I see…, well I sure hope the news is GOOD!

Is USC need blind? Like does applying or not applying for aid make an impact on your decision? If they’re not need blind, that should be a big thing in favor of GJ.

USC is need blind and rightfully so. I wouldn;t want to be given admission over some one more qualified just because my parents can pay for tuition out of their pockets.

Collegegirl- did you apply as a transfer this year too?

Has anyone heard of anyone being rejected as a USC CLAS (letters, arts, & sciences) transfer with a 3.7+ GPA AND the english (and HS math) prerequisites complete?

It’s understandable that a marshall, journalism, or viterbi (or whatever else USC is elite in) kid might be rejected…but CLAS can’t be nearly as competitive, right? Afterall, isn’t the average transfer GPA something like 3.57?
