USC transfers.

dude technics, hobo’s right, im seriously getting jealous just reading that story of yours.

If anyone is still waiting on SC! Call them, i did yesterday and they told me i was admitted. I spent a couple of minutes telling them i had to put a deposit down for Berkeley’s housing. They gave me an answer real fast and over the phone.

hehe moss my major is electrical engineering.

hey guys, I’m outta here until monday about im heading to yosemite.

good luck guys, see you all later.

congrats melgomez. I have been calling all the time they just legitimately don’t have a decision for me yet. I called today and asked what I’d need to do to change my 2nd choice maor and he said a decision could be made any day now because my file is complete, but I’ve been hearing that for a month so I won’t get my hopes up. Whats ur stats and major melgomez? Congrats again.

ya i just called this morning too and they said a decision had not been made.

I’m sure you’ll find out real soon, just keep calling. My friend works at the law school and he told me they have a shift change every so many hours. I called them yesterday morning and they said they had not made decision on my file yet. I called back around noon and they said “we just made a decision” Then I called back around 5 and pleaded with them. Some lady said I was in and hung up real fast! lol

Oh and thanks for the congrats !

has anyone called their USC regional counselor? i just called liek 4 times in the last hour and no luck, its always his voicemail.

yeah I’ve talke to mine quite a few times although her current voicemail says shes out of the office from July 3rd to July 11th so I wont be able to talk to her again until then. Try sending him an e-mail as well. Good luck.

cool cool, i guess ill email him… no decision yet wannabe>?

hobo, youre from ucr. youre regional counselor is not a he. her name is terese sandoval. shes very helpful and almost always there. her number is (213) 740-4042, and her email is tsandova@usc.edu. trust me on this.

oops, i called the regional counselor for my city

Will I get in trouble if I request a “permit to register” on OASIS and register for classes? Will it even grant me a permit to register? I am afraid to try and get in trouble, but I really wanna register for classes before they fill up!! Orientation isn’t for another 2 weeks. Hopefully someone knows a bit about all this. thanks

when i went to orientation day on the 23rd my adviser for my major told me that there was a hold on my account which wouldn’t allow me to register. this is because students are to advised and than the hold is taken off. so i think if you tried to register for classes it wouldn’t work… dont worry there are still tons of classes open, im not sure of your major but i pretty much got all of the classes i wanted. hope this helps!

nope no decision yet, i tried to change my 2nd choice major and the reg admissions guy told me an e-mail would do it but it prob, wouldnt go through in time, cuz a decision could be made any day now(i won’t hold my breath). I’ve been hearing it would be soon since the 2nd week of June. I sent the e-mail and hopefully they change it before they make a decision cuz Id major in basket weaving if i had to.

these weekends are killing me. just an extra 48 hours of worthless waiting.

I have to say, this thread was kind of therapy for me… glad I stumbled on to this place and thread… as it was a good place to vent my frustrations/fears. Sex… I know exactly how you feel right now, as I suffered through it as well… it sucks you’ve had to suffer with it longer though. Towards the end I didn’t even care if I was rejected, I just wanted to know so I could plan my fall, where ever that was going to be. Anyway… like I said, I’m glad I stumbled on our little motley crew here. Venturing far from this thread I just have to roll my eyes at some of the extremely crazy posts… hehe, I’ll stay in here… and I hope the rest of you guys waiting will quickly get your acceptance letters.

Now… who was my econ buddy that is going to be at Orientation on Tuesday?

ill be there on tuesday :)

Hi all

I am an incoming student at SMC (Santa Monica College) who plans on transferring to USC for my junior year.

Since I am just starting at my cc I don’t really have any classes or things to list but I do have some questions.

Do ec’s count in community college as much as they do in high school for a traditional applicant?

Does anybody know in general how difficult it is to get into USC as a transfer student in the psychology major? I know for a fact (by emailing USC’s admissions office) that the average GPA for admitted transfers regardless of major was 3.5.

Also does anybody know of any USC and/or transfer scholarships available? I know there full ride or half ride scholarships out there but am not sure of the specifics.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

mrpuppy - has your friend heard from Marshall?
