What’s the deal with the seminars? How many new students take them…which ones are worth taking? I am generally looking for a some-what easy one but it has to be interesting as well. Oh, also I am a pre-comm so should I take one of the comm USEMs? Thanks, hoos.

I believe the USEMs take less than 20 students. I took a Physics USEM my first year and just bored in it. I can’t tell which ones are complete jokes or real classes. I say go with something that interests you outside of your major. It can be a breath of fresh air.

Malex, which Physics USEM where you in? Some of them looked pretty interesting to me.

The Origin of the Universe with Victorio Celli which was a snorefest and a half. The “homework” was picking two out of four questions that ranged from simple calculus to find 10 important researchers of the universe and their claim to fame. There was a final project on some interesting topic, but I had research from an AP Physics project that made that easier than expected. Easiest “A” I got, but I felt it was too boring.

wow (10 char)

Anyone taken the Go Slow One? Sounds fun.
