Who’s ready? All I gotta do is finish the last third of Atkins’ study guide and do the last 11 yrs multiple choice as well as the last 6 years of free response and labs and I’m set.

I’m thinking about 50 for the MC, about 85% of the FRQ and most of the points for the lab will be enough for camp. Thoughts?

My teacher told my classmate and I (we’re both going) that we shouldn’t study too much, because it will be pointless; we haven’t covered many of the topics yet. I’m going to try to really learn the stuff that I know, but I don’t have time to self-study new topics… I’m already overloaded with the stuff we’re doing ALREADY for Chem!

I’m proud of even qualifying, though. My teacher said I’m the first girl to ever qualify in our school =)

LOL of course you should study. Do a brief review today or tomorrow and then do practice tests tomorrow and friday.

when do you people take this test? I have mine tomorrow and (with 5 APs and 2 SAT things) had no time to study for it… at all… crap. Can people retake the local exams the next year or is this a one time kind of thing? Maybe I’ll try again next year…

I just did a practice test and got 40/60 (on MC). I don’t know how good or bad that is… but it’s good enough for me. Like I said before, there’s a LOT of stuff that we haven’t covered yet, and I have a chem pset due tomorrow, anyway. I’m going to concentrate on doing well on that =)

Lol, that’s not too shabby. If you do just as well (get 67 points) on the free response, then I doubt you should do worse than top 50.

I’m still holding to my cut-offs for camp tho: 50/85

When I checked my answers, it was INCREDIBLY obvious which sections we’ve done, and which ones we haven’t. I got all of the electrochemistry and isomer questions wrong… but at least -I- know that I understand the material that my class has covered =)

I guess it’s now time to cram and try to learn about optical isomers and electrochemical cells.
