I did some research and I think everyone is supposed to submit their final transcript even if they already have over 30 hours submitted to UT. If you look at the link I posted below, and under “deadlines for transcripts” it say that all updated transcript must be submitted by June 15 for fall applicants. I ordered my transcript, going to be a couple days before UT receives it.

fyi, even if you’re already accepted you must submit your final transcript. i was accepted and have like over 100 credits but i still have a bar on registering for classes due to them not receiving my final transcript (i don’t remember exactly where i saw this info. i was browsing around and saw a link that said something like “bars on my account”). i know they received it today, but i also talked to the visitor center on saturday and she said we still won’t be able to register anyway until orientation. she also said that even though when you view the schedule to register for classes online and the classes say “closed”, meaning “full”, a lot of them actually aren’t full. they have reserved some spots for students registering for orientation. she said you get priority for classes as well depending on how many credits you have completed.

yeah of course everyone has to send in their spring and summer transcripts because you want credit for classes you took.

What I meant was you should send it now because they’re probably just waiting for the updated transcript whether or not you have 30 credits. I had 39 credits and it just stayed in review until now(still waiting). If your gpa went up it might actually make your chances for admission better.

I want to be able to sign up for orientation damn it…I want the earliest one!!!

I was in austin too a few days ago. I really did not get the chance to check the city…so have u registered for Austin community college yet?
And where are u planning on living @ austin on campus or apartments? If apartments, let me know which one so i can check it out

I really wanna save money by taking classes (that’s not related to my major) at acc.

@locness wow 850 is quite alot 4 1 room. I checked u t website and their apartments are quite cheap. 520 for 1 bedroom/ bath. Btw how are the apart ment near u t. Are they safe? because the price being too cheap might mean the quality might not be too good . and what bout the on campus housings how are they ? thanks guys 4 your help

Finally got my McCombs acceptance today!! They received my transcript last Wednesday (5/16) and for about 24 hours the message said my application was “complete” rather than “in review,” before it finally changed again to let me know that I’d gotten in.

the reason why the apartment i chose was sort of expensive is because it is in hyde park which is imo a nicer part of downtown near campus.

my girlfriends apartment complex in hyde park is about the same price for a 1 bed/1 bath
2bed/1bath at her complex is about 1350

i chose a 1bed/1bath at the place that i did is because it has a loft also that is basically a mini room. so i got one of my friends to room with me.

did i say 850? sorry its 800. the other places I was looking at was like about 800-1000 but they didnt have loft areas, i think they were expensive because they were super duper close to campus(like a 10 minute walk maybe less)

you should be wary because some apartment places will try to tell you they’re close when really…it’s not close

I was looking at a place on riverside and they kept trying to tell me its just a 10-20 minute bus ride. In reality they’re like 4.5 miles from campus…maybe on a perfect day I could get to campus in 10 mins…

If you’re not from austin I suggest you actually try to physically go to campus from your apartment complex that you’re about to sign a lease with before you decide.

Heyyy! I’m going to ACC right now and sent some required documents last week.
En, I think I will live on campus since I won’t have time to cook and it’s way cheaper to eat in dining halls if you live on campus. After my rough estimate, it will cost ME around $370 more to live on campus per SEMESTER but the benefit is obviously worth more than $370.

Hey guys! MyStatus still states that me application is in review. I’ll send my final transcripts on Thursday when the admissions office opens. I’m all packed and ready to move next Wednesday.!! I’m really excited and a little scared. I hope I receive my acceptance soon and I hope to see you all at orientation!! !Mucha suerte a todos mis amigos¡

did you already have your 30 hours done when you sent your transcript just wondering, because I wish I could get a decision that fast. My transcript arrived at UT may 18th.

My transcript got there May 17th at 9:30 PM. I’m 99.9% sure I got in because I’m in CAP, but I just feel like I messed up somewhere. I took the wrong classes or maybe the person who sent in my transcript only put my 18 hours from this semester instead of the full 30 from spring and fall semesters. I’m dying right now. Should I call them or something? :(

I wouldn’t worry about it since your in CAP as long as you have the 3.2 gpa your automatically in. Unless your worried about getting into the major you want. But I would be glad just to get in period… I am very worried as well

Don’t fret too much. My transcript was complete may 15 and I have still not yet received anything other than “your application is under review”. I’ve got a 3.9 and I applied to natural sciences so I’m optimistic I’ll get accepted.
