Nah dude, if it is complete and on time it is still in review if you go to admission tab it says it still is in review. At least that’s what it says for me. There is no status on the right hand toolbar that says in review, we kind of deducted it based on admissions tab and the fact that we haven’t been accepted or rejected.

@manquants
I am sorry to hear that. I hope you do exceedingly well at wherever you decide to go. I know that if I get rejected, I am going to make sure like hell that UT and Mccombs made a bad decision not accepting me. I’m going to graduate with my Masters in 2 years/Bachelor’s in 1 by taking 18 hrs per regular(fall/spring) semester.

I’ve looking through this thread and previous UT transfer thread. It seems that decision on those were made by early April (4/08ish) up until mid June(6/15ish) and I think since they started making decision later everything is pushed up date wise so this month i hope is filled with decisions i am just trying to survive each week. On this thread Mccombs decision were made pretty fast but not in the 2010 one so maybe more applicants this year then most.

Your application for admission is complete.
We have all the items we need to make your admission decision. As soon as your decision is made, it’ll be posted on this page and you will be notified.

Sorry to bother you but is yours like this?

Sorry to get off topic, but does anyone know if I can register for Cal 1 during UT orientation if I plan to take Pre-Cal during the summer? If not, can I show them my schedule or something to prove I’m taking it? Thanks

@xig5591

I am pretty sure that at orientation, they just take the hold off of your account and you can pretty much register for any classes you want on your on time.

Yes I got in to Mccombs!!! Uber excited. You guys should check yours as well for hopefully good news. So my question now is when are we going to meet up? :D

I was admitted this morning !!! Although I was admitted to Economics instead of McComb, I am still very excited!!!

Good luck to others!

@xig5591 I’m sure when you go to New Student Orientation you will take with an advisor so you can explain your situation to them. I think what they ll want is for you to complete summer classes before you have to pay for UT class. Is pre-cal a pre-req for Cal 1, i took it in high school and AP’ed out of Calculus, so double check on that.

@goodjoblyn well good job. hehe i couldnt help I put down Mccombs unspecified transfer as my only major(well non degree seeker but i dont think they count that) because I knew if i didnt get into as a business major i was better of at my current institution.

@Godly120,

Yeah, congratulations!!!

Since I am an international applicant, it is understandable that i could not make Mccombs. I will try internal transfer next year!

Congrats Godly120 and goodjoblyn!
I am getting really nervous now.

It would be such a relief when the waiting comes to an end.
I am going to take two more finals tomorrow and send in my transcript as soon as it is available. Then we will see what happens. Ah, I need to focus on the final now but i cant help thinking about all of this.

Wow, congratulations @goodjoblyn and @Godly120! ! I think you will make into McCombs thru internal transfer since residency doesn’t matter in that case!

I’m googling Texas right now hahaha!!
@goodjoblyn As an international student, what do you like about Texas? How’s Austin? Are there a lot to do? Do you think it’s convenient and safe to live there? ahhh, so many questions…

I have to turn down UNC, USC-Marshall (LA!Aw…), Cornell and probably UVA-McInire to attend Austin-McCombs, so I want to make sure I’m making the right choice.

Any opinion from anybody will be highly appreciated!!

Thanks in advance! !!!

@Jeremystory,

Yeah, so did my parents. I told them the decision and they started googling ut-austin right away!! Hahaha. I will definitely do some research as well.

Yeah, I will definitely try to transfer internally as well since McComb is the main reason that i want to go to Austin.

@Jeremy

Austin is the capital of Texas and is very urban/city-like with plenty of things to do. As far as safeness goes, it is the city so just don’t go the bad parts of town and don’t walk by yourself at night.

@goodjoblyn @bobbyn212 thanks for your input!

I want to choose ERB with the Petroleum and Energy Engineering Block. Unfortunately, that block is no longer available.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! You guys must be very happy!

Did you register summer orientation? I registered the July’s orientation, and I’m going to visit Ausitn around mid-May to find the place where I live. Anyway, I don’t know why I always wake up around midnight during the final test week…

Don’t worry, you’ll be fine!!! Good luck on your final.

Hey guys new here although i’ve applied from Baylor.

Transferring into geology jackson school but my stats are on extremes

Did very well first semester with 3.83 but poorly second with a 2.83 my classes were much much tougher. I’ve written three essays and have a good resume with obvious interest in the geology field as I am a member of different geology organizations. I’m feeling very badly that I probably won’t get in but it’s not over until it’s over. What do you guys think? I won’t find out for a couple of weeks since i am about to send in my second transcript.

Thank you.
Good luck on you final too.
