@letsbeyounmeut16 yes. thats the thing , other universities do lab and class with together, but cc do it seperate, do i dont know if I take just physics alone they gonna accept it and tell me ok take ur lab later or they wont accept it at all
@Aliklz I feel like theyâd let you claim credit for your lab even if itâs separate. At UT you still have to sign up for a lab section in addition to the actual lecture. Try using this to see if this helps: http://utdirect.utexas.edu/adtreq/search2.WBX , you can put in what CC youâre coming from and then hopefully itâll show you what the course is equivalent to at UT. (It only works for Texas schools though)
@Aliklz Youâll probably be able to just take physics 2 lab later. I know a lot of my friends did not take chemistry lab with their chemistry lecture, so you should be fine.
Usually with CCâs their classes are worth 3 credits and then the lab is 1, so it equals UTâs 4 credit sciences. Thatâs how mine were in the plan, so when I took GEOL 1303 and GEOL 1103 they equaled GEOL 1403, which UT wants
hey guys!
quick question, so like i applied to mccombs, but i havent taken econ 2302 yet (was planning on taking this summer), since it is a pre req for mccombs, will they not even look at my application?
At my CC, the lab is required for all science courses. At registration, the process will not go through unless you sign up for both lab and lecture at the same time. That may be the case for you.
@tacoboi Unfortunately not
@hookmepls omg!!!thaanxxx it really helped, apparently its equivalent with PHY 303L :))
CAP question.
Does anyone know if the CAP students who are automatically accepted (if they meet their requirements) have to accept by a certain date or within a certain time period like 2 weeks?
Wondering if those students have all been settled into place by now or if there is more time to go in that process.
Thanks in advance.
Good luck everyone :-S
Well, My status is down again
CAP students wonât find out until mid June since UT requires their spring final transcript.
trd for the week from this thread
Thursday 4/26
1st wave of CNS students got decisions
Tuesday Wed May 2-3
1st wave of COLA students got decisions
A lot of mccombs applicants heard back too
I think theyâll give the students 2-weeks to accept/decline decisions before they release another wave.
OK got it @bengeg - good point. Thanks
One thing to also note is that there are so many kids who have applied as transfers who have no idea about this thread.
A friend of mine who is transferring as well said she called yesterday and they said they have already started to release decisions and they are going to release a big batch of decisions in the next week or two.
Not sure how useful and/or reliable that info is but hey itâs something
I heard mid June
@TexasHistory I have a feeling thatâs when most of the applicants in need of spring transcripts will hear back
^ I agree. If you need to submit spring grades or do an appeal, you will probably be one of the last to hear back.
@stoppingtheworld that sucks ;/ wonder if it will impact our chances
so to the others who havenât heard back, do you guys have at least 24 hours?
