UT austin 2017/2018 Transfer Thread

for like the two people who have heard back, does mystatus email you an update saying there was a change or do we just have to keep checking 20x a day?

@lucyelizabeth they do send an email but apparently it takes a while to get the email so the best way is to keep checking in MyStatus.

tried 3 times but no one picks up the phone!

@tigger68 So my transcript sent Friday and all weekend it was showing on mystatus as received but still said I needed 24 hours. Then yesterday, Monday, it changed to “application complete” and then only a few hours later changed to “in review”

Has anyone asked on the phone, “Why are ya’ll torturing us?” If not, maybe I’ll call tomorrow and ask.

Good Question!

@lucyelizabeth from the 10 or so people that posted they got in the forum, they didn’t get an email at all. They just kept checking :frowning:

I called admissions a few hours ago and they said decisions will be rolling out until mid June. They are “trying to get some decisions out this week but it could take until mid June”

My friend got rejected today. Her first choice is chemical engineering and second choice is biomedical engineering. So seems like they starting release some engineering decisions this week.

I really hope engineering decisions come out this week

Hi y’all I just got rejected. From Civil Engineering, Gpa 3.8, 60 credit hours.

@samueldeleon I’m sorry to hear that :frowning: Do you mind posting all your stats please

Now I’m scared to check

Still in review

lack of decisions is killer but at least we got slight college confidential drama to keep us occupied

Do you know what your friends gpa is?
@cuzucute

Good luck to everybody. Hopefully today is a day for good news.

I think we shouldn’t expect to see all decisions come in one day or this week or the next. They keep saying it’s coming but that’s not accurate. Its because they want to get rid of us. The problem is they have few staff and tons of applications which all of them are good. It’s better not to waste our time every day!

I’m gonna visit UT tomorrow; since they’re not offering tours (as far as I know), does anybody have any tips on where to go? And/or questions you’d like me to ask for you?
Also, I don’t know how I would’ve coped without this thread tbh, so thank you!

@msfmp1 The turtle pond near the fashion design building is a must! Probably wont benefit you academically but its cute lol

@samueldeleon : Sorry to hear that, but your GPA is very high to be rejected, I wonder how hard it’s be to get in that major
