@ZiuallahK there’s been a few stragglers here and there that received decisions, however I believe most of them were engineering and that was a few weeks back. Honestly, with internationals receiving their decisions right on the date that the website specified (which is today) I don’t think most of us will be receiving decisions until June 15
I’m an engineering applicant and I’m still in review
Accepted into Moody for advertising yesterday.
• CAP
• 3.87 GPA (33 hrs and then some with AP’s)
• Some officer positions, volunteering, awards, & organizations throughout HS and freshman year
• 3 LORs
@stelliferous congrats!!
@stelliferous Congrats!
hi I have been following this thread for awhile, I had some issues with sending my transcript due to a prof. giving me the wrong grade sigh but my transcript was received yesterday, but my application still says that i need my required 24 hours, but i can see that my transcript was sent on My Status. Just wondering if anybody else’s status wasn’t “completed” when it was…
Yes, transcript was uploaded on a Monday but it took til Wednesday before it changed the message to completed (and shortly after to review). It should change within the next day or so
Accepted into Electrical Engineering
GPA : 3.93
I’m still waiting to hear back but I’m starting to get anxious… I finished with 42 credits and a 3.67 and I’m applying for Advertising (first choice Moody) and Urban Studies (second choice COLA). Has anyone not CAP heard back about AD or PR?
I know people in state that have been rejected to both engineering and CS. Im still in review… Does UT only make decisions after reviewing all applications? Also because im still in review, is that any indication of how solid my application is compared with everyone else?
I have a 3.85 Undergrad GPA at UTD- I had a 4.0 in all my UTD classes but what weighed me down were two B’s that I made in my high school dual credit classes. Do I have a chance at McCombs for sophomore year? Everything else in my application is very strong, essays and LORS. Also, will UT see that I had a 4.0 in college (like will the two GPAs be shown separately on my transcript , aside from the 3.85 cumulative GPA? And if I don’t get in, do you think it’s worth applying after fall of sophomore year? Thanks.
So I applied to UT with a 3.38 GPA in the Fall and then finished with a 3.48 this spring. I have 44 hours. I was in the Student Government Association, and have a lot of work experience, 2 strong Essays, 2 LORs and I applied to COLA for government. Do y’all think I have a chance?
@taylor122 let’s hope so because I pretty much have the same stats and I also applied to COLA
@StudentWithAQuestion gpa is gpa but you do show a positive academic trend so that’s a plus. If you don’t get in now, it’s up to you and your priorities.
Hoping to see more decisions this week. Good luck everyone!
Ok so someone from admissions told my friend that if you haven’t been denied it DOES mean that your application is stronger than everyone that’s been denied thus far since they look at all applications against each other rather than at the time of submission. Good luck to everyone that doesn’t have a decision yet!
Has anyone been denied from McCombs yet?
@TAMU2UTCS does that mean that those who were accepted in the first wave had the strongest applications? Or were those decisions made at random?
@imgettingpsyched it’s hard to say, the admissions officer didn’t say specifically. I would assume that people that have been accepted already excluding internal transfer applicants had the best applications because there would be no other reason to do so. Only thing I know for certain is that people that are in review HAVE been reviewed and for some reason have not been denied, which is a good thing! If anyone else has any more info that’d be great.
that’s what i’m wondering…we are waiting on McCombs…haven’t heard much talk of that on this thread.
