What is the situation this yearļ¼I got denied by UT and TAMU with a 4.0 so I need to attend UH. Luckly they offer me a nice scholarship so I can pay at in-state rateļ¼I am Intl).

Did you take the right calculus classes (trig based calculus 1 and 2 and not ābusiness calculusā ?)
Iām surprised they would reject a 4.0 external domestic resident into McCombs.
Also did you remember to factor in any dual credit classes you might have taken in high school for your UT external gpa?

Major: Civil Engineering
GPA: 3.22 at Ole Miss #1 w/ 27 hours; 4.00 for Community College w/ 43 hours
Extra curriculars: President of Chemistry Club, Secretary of Physics Club, and 100+ hours of volunteering
4 LOR, (1 professor, 2 ex-bosses, 1 elected official). The bosses let me review them. They discussed how Iāve grown throughout my two internshipsā¦ etc.
Essays were really good. I had two internships that were pertinent to Civil Engineering. Itās hard for me to understand why I was rejected.
@lucyelizabeth I donāt encourage appeal unless you have new things that may have impact on your application. Otherwise, it is likely you will waste your time and get devastated again.

Sucks to get rejected but got into University of Michigan and Berkeley which are both better schools so oh well.
Denied psych- but it was that screen that said there werent any spots and to try again next timeā¦ damn this sucks

Iām hoping this post will help out someone next year. I just graduated from high school about a month ago. I received CAP when I applied as a freshman. I appealed to be considered as a transfer applicant and used my 24 hrs of dual credit to do so. I didnāt see anyone else on here who had applied with the minimum (especially using dual credit hours) so I was worried! But I was accepted today to COLA! (Health & Society)
Here are my stats:
4.0 GPA
3 LORs (all from my freshman app)
2 essays (one from my original app, one new)
great EC (hospital internship, mission work, strong leadership, etc)
@rusalochkaa Iām wondering the same thing; have you paid the deposit to lock in your space? I have not and was wondering if I had to pay that before registering.
