UT austin 2017/2018 Transfer Thread

Hey y’all! I’m applying for spring transfer in to the College of Liberal Arts, Human Dimensions of Organizations major from Texas Tech’s Honors Program. I will probably have a 3.8 GPA, good essays, lots of community service, and maybe one or two rec letters. What do you think my chances are?? Also, is spring admission rolling? Like if I submit my app within the next week, when should I hear back by?? Thank you so much in advance!!

@utcshopeful u hear anything bro?

I think that all the decisions have been released for tonight and those who get in probably haven’t checked their mystatus in a while.

Added everyone who asked to the list

Hey guys, I’ve been following this thread for a while now and it seems that I’m just as anxious as my fellow COLA Applicants. I’ll post my stats below so they can be added to the list:

Major: Psychology (BS)
GPA: 4.0 (Studying Pre-Med at ACC)
Hours: 64 at the completion of the semester (Graduating with my Associates)
LORs: 1 from the chair of the psychology department at ACC’s Round Rock Campus
Essays: 2 good essays
Good ECs and lots of work experience
Member of Phi Theta Kappa and ACC’s Honors College

Good luck everyone!!

JUST GOT INTO UT BOIIIIIIII LETS GO

@utcshopeful NICE

@utcshopeful congrats! Have you been checking throughout the evening?

lol the admissions lady said a couple of days ago I should be in by end of april

@imgettingpsyched With your 4.0 gpa?? Pffhhhhhhhh your not getting in (silently weeps because I don’t have a 4.0).

Yeah man your in, don’t sweat it.

@utcshopeful airhorns in the distance CONGRATS MAN!!! WOOOOOOO

no actually the email got caught in my spam filter and I checked right before I was going for a run

@utcshopeful lmao :))

So your email came after 7pm?

Did you guys get an email or checked mystatus?

mystatus the email I never got I was so surprised

@utcshopeful grats man!!!

Do you guys think more decisions tomorrow?

So the consensus is if you have a 4.0
You’re guaranteed into your major regardless of other factors?

Man should’ve dropped accounting insteading of taking the B or taken it at a community college

A lot of people from CNS have gotten their decision and mine is still in review :frowning:

Do rec letters hold a lot of weight or can I get in w/o any?
