UT Austin Class of 2025 — Regular Decision

Do most people think all of the rejections/CAP/Pace are coming out tomorrow or do most think they’re just gonna release the rest of the decisions, including acceptances all at once tomorrow? I’m starting to lose hope about getting accepted (OOS) but I still want to believe that there’s still a chance

I think there’s still a chance. A friend’s son was accepted as a full admit two years ago on the Friday night that all CAP/PACE/rejections came out.

I think acceptances are still coming, but, once again, I know nothing and do not claim to. I’m wildly grasping at straws just like everyone else. Doesn’t seem like there have been enough acceptances.

I know a lot of people who are non auto-admits and haven’t heard, but are definitely getting in. So don’t worry people.

Oh, and UT Admissions . . . Get your act together. Communicate. Notify people. Every other university out there does a better job at managing this process.

Enough said. Good luck, people.

Not odd, just delayed customer service. Their admissions office receives tons of emails per day.

This is the nature of admissions in general… not just UT. The guarantee was a decision by February 1st… and I’m very confident that is going to happen very very soon … !

Well, that’s good news and I hope you’re right. But how do you know they will be likely to be admitted? Stats? I’ve seen some autos with great stats that didn’t get major so wonder if this is just a super competitive year,

I don’t believe that few people will read 67000X3 essays…Portfolio based degrees may be truly holistic, but not the rest.

Most competitive, large universities have 2 sometimes 3 reviewers per application.

Ok …

How many people needed to review 67000 applications?

You realize that it’s not just AOs that review these. Check career sites. Every admission season there are people that are hired and trained to be Readers.

All I’ve seen of you on this thread is being negative about the whole process. Most of the things you say aren’t even true, and if they’re “kinda” true, it’s not even the full story. Instead of whining about it on a internet thread, I suggest you take your grievances up with the university itself, push for online campaigns for a more transparent process, and ask if UT is really held accountable. That would do much more good then whining in a thread with already stressed out people waiting for acceptances and a decision. Thank you.

@NTexasTu Well said! Was thinking the same thing as I was reading through posts tonight and thinking to myself that this person is just bitter and always so salty.

Also, @xyz18 life isn’t always fair. This is a crap year for a lot of our kids who have great stats and scores. But thanks to covid, the game has changed and things are not working out as expected for them. I have a kid in that situation and he is just rolling with it. Not whining, not bitter. Just moving on. I’m glad he didn’t apply to UT because I would probably be ticked off too, but I also would have just moved on and stopped whining already. But I would like to ask you this, I noticed somewhere you said you are Canadian citizens. Have you thought perhaps that maybe that is the issue with your kid and not their stats? That they’re considered an international and not a US citizen because that very well could factor into the decisions and play a role here.

@xyz18 I am not making an assumption, I asked a question. It’s not that complicated to answer. US citizen or not?

Hey, hey, hey, everyone just take a breather. If we all send positive energy and good vibes good things will happen tomorrow. Us seniors have gone through enough - let’s just be positive tonight and through tomorrow :grinning:
