1/28/21 - My theory is they’ll send everything out tomorrow, Friday night and after hours. That way, their admissions offices aren’t inundated with calls and emails the following day. They’re hoping if they release admissions/rejections on Friday at 5:00 or 6:00, people will sit on the information for a couple of days, come to accept it, and thereby not reach out to contest the decision. I hope I’m wrong and decisions come out at 6pm tonight (Thursday). If not, ONE MORE DAY. We hope.

Agree! If they sent everything tonight, they’d be fielding calls all day tomorrow! This gives a buffer for emotions to settle down.

Should not be a problem sending admission tonight though. People not getting may expect CAP/PACE tomorrow.
Why would that be an issue? They have done this repeatedly in the past. It was a Tuesday last year.

I’m not sure they take calls about this stuff, anyway. But I think it’s looking more and more like the only decisions still coming are Pace/Cap/rejection, just based on previous patterns.
I haven’t seen very many acceptances on this forum. Maybe I missed them… Maybe there have been and I just wasn’t signed on at that time. I hope there are still more acceptances to come.

Unless there is no more admission after releasing the video, just CAP/PACE tomorrow.

There is no major wave in January, and the last one was in December. It doesn’t make sense to keep all the rejections and just to announce a month later.

True, but at a 13% admission rate for non-auto residents, I wonder if that amount got accepted in the Dec. wave and no longer hang out here. I’m trying to be realistic, though it’s not making me happy.
UT offer CAP to a lot of students, but you will have one very very narrow window to accept it. Some time at 6pm in Feb. In less than a minute all CAPs will be filled.
