Accepted from Maryland, Neuroscience!!
this has probably been asked a million times but has anyone gotten in for cola?
5pm pacific
Has anyone applied to the School of Design and Creative Technologies? There was a portfolio project in addition to the regular application materials - we are wondering if there will be early decisions for this program or if we have to wait until March/April with regular decision.
It is disgusting that Regular decision applicants are being accepted before Priority applicants are even receiving decisions. Awful.
I got in today! I think at most you will have to wait until is March 1st.
Son got into CNS today at 6pm for Physics. Non AA, priority deadline, non-ranking high school, 36 ACT.
Priority OOS, applied to McCombs + BHP interview, still haven’t heard anything. At this point, do I just assume I’ve been rejected?
Didn’t happen for DS. But for my next son, I made a few mental notes: 1. Spend more time on all the essays. 2. Send an expanded resume 3.Don’t rush to get in priority, it doesn’t matter. 4. Move to a lower performing school to get higher rank or 4b. Go to A&M like big bro unless you get to play ball at a smaller school with or without scholarship and enjoy being young.
All, for all of us tomorrow, let us know if you got CAP or PACE. I will. Sleep well.
Yes, my daughter applied to SDCT as well, submitted the “Creative Prompt”, and all other materials and was under the impression she’d hear by now as having met “priority deadline”. This waiting is torture and seeing that so many are getting their responses… frustrating. FYI, have seen no emails from them since November once materials were submitted
me! regular, not priority
Disgusting UT admission process!! Just let people know if they are rejected/CAP/PACE already!! Why can’t they release all decisions at the same time??
So do you think we should we assume its a rejection for a OOS for engineering that still says in review?
you never know. don’t assume the worst. i firmly believe everyone ends up where they are supposed to
I’m already assuming that
Was anyone rejected today, or were they all acceptances?
From what I saw on here and reddit, I think they were all acceptances
Hoping they save some acceptances for later
Is there still hope?
I graduated from UT (long ago) as a communications/PR major. They taught us to be transparent and keep ahead of negative news. I am embarrassed (as a graduate) to say they are definitely not practicing what they have preached with the admissions process. My son applied in late September (priority) to math. Right outside of too 6%, 1500 SAT, 790 in math. National Hispanic Scholar, Commended Merit Scholar, 2 Varsity Athletics, 2 years job as a lifeguard. Expanded resume, invited to apply to honors. We thought the essays were great (obviously not, but he spent lots of time on them). Portal “still in review”. It’s definitely a punch in the gut to see RD applicants getting decisions. We just want to know, so he can move on. Admissions should at least send applicants an email saying “your decision will be released at x time” so he doesn’t have to keep checking the portal every hour of every day which is causing even more stress and anxiety in this highly stressful year. Congratulations to all who were admitted tonight! I just wish UT would do a better job with communication!
