Found this thread by pure accident. Checked My Status for our daughter several times. There was no access to deposits nor Cash/RIS. Suddenly at 6 PM an acceptance showed up and only were other portals available.
and only then were other portals available
So are we pretty much all in agreement that if you applied PD (by Nov. 1st) and haven’t heard back today that it most likely means rejection? It absolutely sucks having to wait this long and with no communication from UT. I could go on a whole rant about it but I won’t. I just want to know. I’m OOS and honesty don’t even know if I would consider going there at this point.
Same boat, and wow it really sucks. But it’s not Feb 1 yet, let’s hope for the best.
Apparently everything is decided except architecture, fine arts, and nursing according to people on Reddit. Architecture, Fine Arts, and Nursing may still have spots that are notified in Feb. If you haven’t heard back by now it means either CAP or rejection.
Got it, that’s what I’m thinking as well. I’m McCombs so that doesn’t apply to me. Oh well.
Hopefully it is not true and there is another wave.
I do still have hope but it’s slowing fading away. I did get into UMiami today so at least there was some good news. Hoping for the best for everyone!
Congratulation. That is a great school.
Thank you so much! Very excited abt it!
I got into UT Dalls and SMU. I live in DFW so SMU is my top choice now
My daughter too! Congratulations to your daughter!
Should most regular decisions not be out yet? I’m still in review (Cockrell, non-auto, in-state), and I’m foreseeing the worst right now. One of the UT pros on Reddit wrote “99% of decisions should be out by now” – I assume he was referring to priority? If not, then… I might have to jump aboard the Aggie train.
we are the same still waiting for mechanical engineering
We’re in Frisco. Where are you from?
so no more spots/acceptance for RD applicants?
According to the UT pro on Reddit, all decision have been made today. The exception would be a small amount in architecture, fine arts, and nursing.
If you haven’t heard anything yet, expect a rejection or cap. Hopefully he is wrong.
Wow those are amazing stats. I hope he applied to some Ivies. My son is a Math major as well and did not get in. It’s surprising to me, I didn’t think it was a competitive major.
Your son has better stats than my cousin who went to Columbia and Yale.
unfortunately i dont think ut defers anyone…definitely not oos. too bad
is there any info about liberal arts? i didnt see acceptances other than anthropology and government. i just wonder what happened with all the other majors, no one i know here or on reddit has heard anything back.
