Will most of the applicants picked using EA? should we apply early to get better chance of admission?
UT says there is no admissions advantage to applying early. There is definitely a housing advantage for those admitted early. Some majors (college of fine arts…not sure about others) do not participate in early admission.
ETA - actually the housing advantage is for those who submit the housing deposit early.”, so my initial statement isn’t quite correct. You can submit the housing deposit as soon as you apply so those who apply early, deposit early and get in (early or regular) have an advantage on housing. Sorry…was remembering wrong from last years experience.

Got D27 to finally submit her app on Saturday and she was unable to pay the application fee at that time. Finally got her to create and open her portal last night and found that it still was waiting for application fee to be paid. It was weird that application fee was not paid during the application submittal.
