My D1 has capped in UT Austin for computer science but they are offering in language Arts.
Top 6% from competitive school in Texas.

D1 got in Texas A&M computer science honors.We are moving on with other colleges.Companies hire from different colleges too.If student is good then student is going to be successful no matter which college he/she is from.I’m sure My D1 will do equally good as UT Austin student or even better, just college will not stop her Dreams.And also ,from second job on wards companies doesn’t really care about your college.

@QWERTYUASD ,My D mostly will be going to texas A&M and it has very good engineering department .as per USA ranking they are at 14 and UT austin at 9 .I did research and found that they have very good career fairs,internships and spend almost spend $1billion on research every year.NASA spend 1/3 of college research money in Texas A&M
CAP is waste of time.fro my D it is useless to do CAP just for university .D doesn’t want to comp on program.after first job no one care the university

Do people only get CAP if they aren’t auto admits? Or can anyone get CAP?
just had a friend get capped today
top school, 4.2, 33 act, amazing ecs/service etc and got cap. They capped a lot of kids from my school with over 4.0, great test scores and granted admission to 3.5s (into MCCOMBS) and meh scores.
it doesn’t make sense. I think they’re using yield protection at this point
One of my friends has a 34 act in state and top 7% and in-stats and got rejected by McCombs he is pretty sad
He was wondering if other people got rejected with similar stats or just him?
