@bros20000 I was admitted to McCombs on 2/1 with a 1330 SAT (670M, 660CR+W) and a 29 ACT (31E, 30M, 30R, 24S)
Anyone know whether there will be a wave today? Instate auto admit and still waiting on my major (chemical engineering) so that I can make my final decision. Getting inpatient!
@tb2000 UT has said and also says on their website about Plan II being the most selective. I can’t speak to BHP but Plan II is definitely hardest to get into to. Don’t stress about BHP being as hard to get into as Plan II guys, they’re two totally different programs looking for different things.
by the end of Feb
@QWERTYUASD It all depends on what you want. PACE is where you attend ACC, which is the community college in Austin but still be apart of the social community at UT. CAP is where you go to a sister school of UT like UTSA or UTD for a year. For both programs, you got to the other school for a year, and if you meet certain requirements (like having a certain GPA).
@emmaluvsdesign i applied for arts & entertainment technology
@woodace I know enough people who have gotten into plan 2 with sat scores around 1200/1600. If that’s the case, I don’t get how they are the most selective?
I don’t think Plan I is that selective, Turing scholars and EHP is probably harder to get in. Plenty of people get into Plan II. Btw, anyone know when would the rest of EHP results come in?
really hoping for a decision today
Daughter is in state, non-auto, priority admit, and it is crickets on her my status. She got the Feb. 27 delay message on 1/31, and not a word since. It’s starting to feel like we will never ever get a decision.
anyone know when college of engineering decisions are going to be released?
(auto-admit in state and waiting for college of engineering decision)
ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i need to know my friends are all doing housing and good dorms are going fast at ut and other schools
Any decisions today?
Did anyone advance to the next round for the Terry Scholarship? I just got an email saying I did.
I was recently admitted to the CNS polymathic scholars program. Do you know if there are scholarships available for this honors program? and if there are, when do they notify you?
No rhyme or reason but we are grateful. Son got an email last night at 7pm to check My Status. He was accepted to BS Psychology. In state, non auto. Waiting for Honors programs now. Good luck all. It is a tough wait.
I am very confused between difference between lah plan 2?
@bros2000 Plan 2 is an actual major not just honors classes. It is basically a well rounded liberal arts education…lots of math/science/foreign language/philosophy and other special classes verses just honors liberal arts classes. It has core classes that are required. Plan 2 kids can take LAH classes also but I do not believe LAH can take PLAN 2. It is only 20% based on statistics so some might say it is harder because it is difficult to determine what Plan 2 is looking for in a candidate.
BHP is also a major. Their stats are a little bit higher (average 34 instead of 33 ACT) and class rank is VERY important. Leadership seems to be very important also. With that being said, I know kids who got into BHP but not Plan 2 and vica versa. Just very different programs.
@Mills6 thanks you, and I just got into Bhp today!
@bros20000 Congratulations!
