Students didn’t get it, my gudiance counselor got it.
200 is literally no one! So don’t be concerned if you hear of a few people getting in. The large wave is next week they said that in the email.
This is the email:
“Dear Colleague,
I’m writing with a quick update about admission decisions for fall 2018 freshman applicants. We will deliver a small round of admission offers (about 200) later today and then plan to deliver a larger round of decisions next week to all applicants who met the priority deadline.
Although we’ve always rolled out decisions, we know that this sometimes causes questions from students who haven’t yet received one. Please help us to reassure your students that we will be making many more offers of admission. Know that we are continuing to work hard to review applications and provide decisions to all applicants as soon as possible.
We will be in touch again next week with additional details about coming decisions. We want to make sure that you have up-to-date information as students receive their notifications.
Thank you for everything you do to support your students who are interested in being future Longhorns.
Hook ‘em!”
There will be the wave, but 200 is a very small number out of he many applicants waiting to hear back. So don’t stress too much if you don’t get your decision! Good luck to all
Still in review here…
My guess is between 3 and 6. That’s when an AO told me to check
I JUST WANNA KNOW!!! Then I remembered that I still have 6 regular decisions coming out on April 1…
anyone hear??
I’d say at about 4 PM central time.
I applied before Nov 1st, but does anything on the portal say that you’re a priority applicant. Or is it just applying by Nov 1st makes you a priority applicant.
Hi y’all, i’ve been reading through this for a couple of months now, and i figured i’d let you know that i got accepted today. I was an in state, priority applicant, non auto, and it updated around 3:05 pm central time. Good luck to you all!
so if I didn’t apply by November 1st should I assume I won’t be getting decisions until March 1st?
What major?
Congrats @jfa091!! Could you let us know what school you applied to and if you applied to honors? Please excuse my rant below. Glad to know you are a priority applicant!
Dear UT-thank you for the continued anxiety you have caused with the debacle you call UT Admissions. Thank you for releasing 200 decisions today, leaving everyone else (42,000+) wondering…I am sure also the 200 people may not even be priority applicants. Also, thank you for providing a glimmer of hope-enough so that I checked My Status constantly until someone posted on here-at least then I could finally stop. Though it was a glimmer of hope, I knew statistics were against me, but I checked anyways!
Hook 'em!
congrats! what major did you apply to? my guess is the 200 people that found out all are part of the same major.
@Jnyfrtx Relatable
Do they only release waves at one time a day? Or are there multiple releases at different times?
usually same time
I am a human development and family sciences major. I applied to Polymathic scholars Honors and Human ecology honors, but i haven’t heard back yet. All the honors college decisions will be released on February 1.
Friend got into McCombs today. No joke.
Do you mind sharing stats?
