I swear if I die one more time from a bush camper in Fortnite…
@apulse 35 ACT, over 4.0 GPA (don’t have exact number), lots of APs (like 9?) and most difficult classes available at school, school doesn’t rank, normal ECs.
Those who are admitted, how were you notified? On the portal or email?
Both, but portal updated earlier in the day (around 3:10 pm), and email showed up in the evening.
Why was there such a small wave this Friday?
anyone hear back from jackson geosciences yet? i applied in early august and i’m still in review… the anxiety is killing me
They reached a record number of applicants this year so they kinda pushed everything back. That’s why last year they released every thing on the second week of February. Don’t worry at this point, u can’t do much so just enjoy second semester of senior year
how many people here have received turing or deans? are there any CNS honors decisions coming out next week, or are they all out already?
Does anyone think UT is just going to end up deferring a bunch of the priority applicants to march 1 just because they couldn’t get to their apps in time? Seeing them wait until the last possible day to release the huge majority of priority decisions is kind of scary— kind of like they’re just buying time. What better way to buy a month than deferring any apps they couldn’t get to?
this is going to be the longest week of my life
^^RT
UT is beginning to lose my interest because they have taken the LONGEST time possible for priority applicants even when they have began to release regular decisions. UNC accepted me this last Friday so now I don’t really care too much about UT
I think what makes the wait so painful is that the waves that they have been releasing have been so small and random to where some of the most qualified applicants have to wait 5 months, while some lucky others waited for less than a month. I think that if UT is going to continue with the “priority deadline” shenanigans, that they should wait to send out all decisions until a single date… maybe like an Early Action-type deal with an earlier decisions release date for priority applicants. That way, people who applied priority will be more aware of this single date, rather than constantly checking MyStatus on a daily basis.
@p0ssiblec0llegestudent was your psychic right?
no i don’t even know what to believe anymore
What are the chances for McCombs for a student in top 7% rank, 1440 sat, deca icdc competitor
high
So to be clear, we should be getting decisions on Thursday?
@likeclockwork48 Yes. A few weeks ago, someone was also told that they will be releasing some on Wednesday to avoid crashing the system whenever everyone logs into MyStatus
@ziipijup There is a separate thread for CS Turings acceptances and so far only about 4 people have posted. The Turing reception is 2/19 so I would think the invites have all been extended by now?
