Are we screwed if we dont have a CASH link or didnt receive an email?..
I wouldn’t worry about it guys. I also have the CASH link with the error and I did not apply for FA at all
I received the same financial aid email on 10/31. I think it’s just letting you know that your UT Financial Aid Info & the info from your FAFSA are all in the same place, and that they have the entire application; not necessarily a good or bad sign. Sending positive vibes to everyone these next two days!!
What does it mean if you don’t have the CASH link?
Yeah I got the email a few days after I applied so i don’t think it has to do with acceptance. Mine says error for the CASH link as well. I think everyone who has not been admitted yet would say error, if not that would be a loophole to find out if you got into UT and that would cause them serious problems so they make it “ error” for everyone who hasn’t been officially admitted/denied. This is just my theory though.
Where is this “cash” link located?
Nevermind! I realized every time I resubmit my FAFSA (to make corrections) it sends me that email, thus it is not related to an acceptance or rejection…
Has anyone heard back for prepharm
Not yet. I think it will be tomorrow night.
@asking4help2 I remember reading that somewhere on UT’s website. Of course the portal says “your application is in review” regardless of whether you’re priority or regular. Doesn’t mean you qualified for priority. BTW did anybody receive confirmation that they qualified for priority? I didn’t and I submitted it on the last day. I’m kinda worried.
If eveything was in by November 1st you are priority
My son applied for Marshall as first choice, with a non business school major as second choice. Will he hear about Marshall this wave or just Liberal Arts?
@funtimes123 You can get to it by clicking on the UT Direct Icon to the left of the tab saying “Dashboard”. Once in the “UT Direct page,” in the left hand navigation list, click on Financial Aid Status.
Has anyone ever been able to discern a “tell” in the UT admissions. Ie. A&M: you get 6 tabs in your My Howdy portal hours before the official announcement. U of Washington: hours before the decision is posted your official transcript downloads/opens up listing your major in the portal…anything like that for UT?
@gobluealum I think you meant McCombs hahaha. Marshall is USC’s business school.
UT said that they would be releasing final decisions for priority applicants. So if your son doesn’t get accepted to McCombs, he could still get offered a spot in his second choice major. They release your decision all together; in other words, they don’t wait to release second choice decisions at a later date. Good luck!
@zjr423 when decisions get posted in the UT My Status Page will they indicate major at that time? DS applied McCombs first, and an Education major second.
I applied with the Texas application by the priority deadline, but my official high school transcript had some mailing issues and didn’t arrive at their offices until later. Am I still qualified to hear back by tomorrow?
So the CASH link and error means nothing? My son has it, my step-son does not.
@Meant2B Yep. At least that’s what I’ve heard. If you’re not accepted to your first choice, then it will say whether or not you got accepted to your second choice. I know that if auto-admits get into neither their first or second choice majors, then they will receive a list of open majors that they can choose from. I know that Undergraduate Studies (going undeclared) is an option for those in that boat.
can we confirm that there will be a wave of 17,000 today or is that just a rumor and we should rely on tmrw?
