34,000 HOLY COW!!! Best of luck to everyone tomorrow and Thursday, only a few more days of dealing with the corrupt admissions process that is UT admissions!
Did anyone else just receive an office of financial aid email?
I also did, @minimango
Did you guys apply for financial aid?
@minimango what did the email say?
What did the email say
@18class “The Office of Financial Aid (OFA) has electronically
received your 2018-2019 FAFSA from the U.S. Department
of Education. Your application is valid and applies for Summer
2018 - Spring 2019 financial aid funding. OFA will notify you in a
separate email if additional documentation is required. Please make
sure your permanent, local and email addresses are current and
accurate at https://utdirect.utexas.edu/apps/utd/all_my_addresses/.
Admitted and current students can monitor the status of their UT Austin
aid application through the Check Aid Status Here (CASH) site at
http://finaid.utexas.edu/.
Sincerely,
The Office of Financial Aid
The University of Texas at Austin”
@kkpita1 have u been admitted already?
Can anyone else corroborate this idea that there will be a wave tomorrow and Thursday? I feel like since UT promised a decision by Feb 1 it would be strange to wait all the way until Feb 1 to release them ALL. But I may just be trying to attain false hope that there will be admissions tomorrow.

No I have not been admitted - and I gotta say I think my chances are slim given that I’m out of state.
And yes, I applied for financial aid…

i got the same email a couple months ago
@minimango I have a 34 ACT but my GPA is rather low, 3.7UW and 4W. Good/unique ECs but I doubt that compensates
I just checked and I got this email on October 26th ( I applied on October 12th)
I think you have a good shot @kkpita1
Question: how much does having a father who attended texas and a sister as a current student play into the admissions process?
@MEB2018ut it def helps
I’m starting to get really worried. My CASH system also says error and I did not receive that email, but I did receive it a few months ago.
