@helimom3 When UMD came out last week the computer system kept freezing up. My girls were lucky enough to be able to get in because they logged in right away but I know people who had to try for hours to log in. Hopefully that will not be the case with TX. Good luck!

@Mom1997 that was so frustrating for UMD. Once finally in the system only half of my letter popped up. LOL I hope your girls had good news. Accepted for me.
When I click the Housing link it says I can start my application. I also have the Cash link but no formal acceptance yet. This is strange. I clicked the link as if applying for housing and it then asked for my login. The app appears and shows me classified as a First Time Freshman with my name and ID.
@camcam2022 what is the cash link?
@kvpop1 click on the UT direct link on the upper left hand of the page (right under University of Texas at Austin banner. Then click on Financial Aid status on the left side of the page. That’s where you’ll see Cash link and Error.
@CyMom4 I just checked and mine says “The CASH system and its services are solely for current University of Texas at Austin students, returning students who are eligible to enroll at the University, and students who have been newly admitted to the University. Our records indicate that you are not eligible. For further assistance, please contact the Office of Financial Aid at (512)475-6282.”

I don’t have the CASH link, but I do have the housing status page (I applied for housing as soon as it was available to me). I’m getting so anxious to find out.
@apulse it is under the financial aid tab and when the window opens it says CASH with a link. Also under housing there is a link to apply on my account. When I opened it I then had to log in and a screen appears showing classification as First Time Freshman with my name and id info. Strange.
You guys are reading too much into the CASH thing. Stop stressing over the little things.
@camcam2022 did you apply for financial aid?
I honestly don’t think the CASH link means anything. I think if you applied for financial aid early on it says check back in a couple of months because they made that your status in October/early on. I think for people who applied recently for financial aid will have coming weeks or CASH link because that is the status they are giving students recently. Maybe I am bias because I don’t have a CASH link, but I don’t think it is an indicator of anything besides how recent you submitted ur app for financial aid

@camcam2022 that is strange, def a good sign for you. However, I think that is a slip up for them since they are basiclly alerting that you have been admitted before your status changes. So if you don’t have a cash link it isn’t a bad sign or good sign I just think it means you weren’t part of the slip up.
i did not apply for financial aid and i have cash link
Maybe the cash link is only for people who’s financial aid they have not received. If you do not have the cash link, I️t says we have received your financial aid application. I️t makes sense that people who have not applied or applied later have that link instead of the confirmation that they received.

You will have cash link even if it’s before you have been admitted to your major, even if you haven’t applied for aid. Everyone’s MyStatus says “see CASH” no matter what. I know this because I have seen many of my friends, admitted and not admitted. Please don’t read anything into it because everyone will know super soon:) This site has so many smart people that are freaking out, when in the future everyone will look back on this short time period and laugh!
