Anyone have information for merit scholarships for BHP this year? Are there any other applications that need to be sent in for BHP scholarships? We are OOS and tuition is quite high
@illdad I know BHP gives merit scholarships, but I think it may all be part of the same application as she should have filled out when she applied to UT and then the possibility to earn Merit $ after she attends, but I don’t believe there are any other applications.
You say you are optimistic about getting instate tuition next year. Did you but a property under your child’s name? Is there a realtor who specializes in this? Thanks ahead of time

We are attending. We heard it is a great program. Has anyone contacted them about accommodations, or did you book on your own? Most places were already booked up, so I wondered if they have a block somewhere and if it’s worth going through them or just leaving where we have booked already.
We booked are own accommodations. Got a good rate for the Fairmont Austin on Hotwire

I have not heard anything about BHP scholarships. I received an update on the Financial Aid page, but it just shows that I am eligible for subsidized loans. Not sure if this means BHP scholarships have already been given out?

Does anyone have information about how much scholarship money was sent out? I was surprised to hear that none of the 5 BHP admitees from my school received anything, including myself.
I’ve never posted anything on CC so not sure if anyone still cares about this thread or not, lol but my son was admitted BHP, a finalist for 40 acre (but wasn’t chosen) and during the 40 acre finalist weekend, the dean of BHP offered the BHP finalists a full tuition scholarship. My son was later notified by mail as well but he found out initially during that weekend (Feb 28-March 2).

Just curious, which college you finally decided to go? OOS for BHP is not easy at all. You must have very strong profile
