Sorry for delay (I don’t check this but about once a week). My D changed her major to business about a month ago and completed the BHP application the next day (didn’t have to do much since had already completed Plan II app). She was admitted to McCombs a couple of weeks later and then another couple of weeks was invited for BHP interview. So, her process has been pretty compressed. Interview is tonight (fingers crossed for a quick decision – Christmas present would be great).
Have any OOS applicants gotten an email for an interview? For those who have received emails already, are you in-state automatic admits? It seems like McCombs, and BHP by extension, would review autos first and get back to OOS closer to the Feb 1 date
I’m wondering the same, my son is OOS and he has not been contacted for an interview.
My daughter also got her interview email today. Applied mid-Oct. Texas kid, auto-admit. 4.0 unweighted GPA, 36 ACT. Multiple ECs.
We did this last year…my kid was not an automatic admit but got interview winthin a week of turning in paperwork for honors programs beginning of October, was accepted to McCombs and Plan 2 first round of Plan 2 releases but didn’t get into BHP until February. I know there were out of state kids who got into program with the first release. Out of state and non auto admits are admitted with each round.
@karen0 @TheNewColossus I had my BHP interview last week and I’m an OOS applicant. Have any OOS applicants received admissions into McCombs yet? Despite having my interview, I haven’t received any updates about my admission into either McCombs or BHP.
I finished submitting my application on October 25th. I just got an interview notification.
Submitted application on October 14, got interview email on the 27th and had interview on the 3rd. Was admitted into McCombs today, no update on BHP (although I’m pretty sure that you get a phone call for acceptance into BHP before MyStatus is updated).
Anyone get a phone call for acceptance into BHP yet? I’m thinking the first wave will come in the next week or two.
@APLearner last year, the first wave of BHP phone acceptances was on the 2nd Monday of December, which would fall on December 10. Hopefully some come out on Monday!
My DD was admitted to McCombs today! Nothing yet on BHP. Interview was done on Thursday. Fingers crossed!!
No response from McCombs this week despite interviewing for BHP three weeks ago. I doubt there is a causal relationship between all these McCombs acceptances for people who also applied to honors and BHP being ready to announce, as many who were accepted were recently interviewed (in the last 1-5 days). I say one or two more weeks until they are ready.

My D got into McComb yesterday, but she didn’t get the BHP interview email. If there is no interview, does it mean there is no way to get BHP?
@AnxiousMomPlano yes. You need an interview in order to get into BHP.

@SlayMeLove Yes, admissions will continue to release decisions in Dec, take a break and continue in Jan.

Nope. They’ll probably come next week or the week after. A lot people just got interviews.
