This is the official discussion thread for University of Texas at Dallas Class of 2030 applicants. Ask your questions and connect with fellow applicants.

Has anyone applied and heard back? My DS applied 1st week of August but has not received portal information.

We have not heard back too .

UTD has not even downloaded the app for my DD. Not sure how long will it take to get the portal login details . Anyone in the same boat ?

They have not downloaded my DD’s application either.

DS applied on 8/22. NetID was just created this morning

We got the net id this morning too

We got ours as well. Does UTD super score? My DS got his August scores back and they improve his super score. Wondering if we should send it in. when do we expect to start hearing back?

D26 got her acceptance yesterday.

Was she auto-admit?

Yes she is.

DD got accepted few days back and today we received the admissions packet in mail . Wohhoo that was fast .

My brother’s daughter is a freshman at UTD and got free tuition because the family makes just under $100k per year. Great offer for UT system schools.

Any holistic review applicants admitted to UTD? My son applied early September, application is in complete status for about 4 weeks, haven’t heard back as of yet.

Application submitted 10/6 for son and status showing as Undergraduate Committee Review.

Based on past history, do top 5% rank students in TX get UT Dallas AES scholarship / full ride?

AES seems to get more competitive every year, they consider many factors when looking at AES awards not just rank. At a minimum you’d get the $2.5K per semester for their top 10% scholarship.

DS accepted to School of Engineering and Computer Science as a Holistic, OOS, NMSF applicant today, 11/04/25. Status changed to “Admitted” although the Decision Letter isn’t uploaded yet.

Do AES notifications start in January? Found something interesting about AES scholarships on UT Dallas website:

If I am an out-of-state or international student, will an AES award qualify me for resident tuition rates?

“Students receiving any level of AES award qualify for in-state tuition and fee charges, regardless of their resident status.”

This seems to be a tremendous benefit for OOS and International students upon receiving any level of AES from UT Dallas.
