UT spring transfer 2020 thread.

@hxhann I was thinking the same thing.

@hxhann, I think it’s just that not as many people are coming on this website. :frowning:

I called the undergraduate admissions office and they said as long as the Apply Texas application is submitted by October 1, we had until Friday to submit supplementary materials (i.e., resume, essays, transcripts). I was stressing out for no reason!

@MaineLonghorn True, but also on other sites like Reddit not a lot of people seem to be transferring. A mod said on reddit that even though there aren’t a lot of people transferring, that doesn’t mean that it will increase our chances.

@hxhann I think spring transfers are mostly used to fill the spots of people who have graduated in the fall and people who have dropped out etc. so with fewer people applying, hopefully, that does mean we have a better chance. lets hope!

Happy spooky month everyone! I do want to sincerely apologize. When I initially created this thread, I was incredibly upset. I did not mean, in anyway, to give off such a negative vibe. Moving forward, I hope everyone receives fantastic news, and I will be keeping up with this page.

@STCTEXAS No worries! have you decided to continue your educational career?

Hey everyone, I am new here. Does not seem like a lot of applicants compared to the fall transfers.

when do yall think we will find out?

Howdy! Yes! I decided to take a semester at a local Community College.

As the application due date has passed, I wish the best for everyone!! Hope yall get in!

@STCTEXAS did you apply again to UT?

@holtym we won’t find out till early November, but I know reading some other threads from last year some people didn’t hear till late November some early December

The wait is killing me! I keep checking MyStatus even though I know decisions won’t be released for a while.

Does anyone know how it works for classes that are in progress? Calc 2 is a pre req for my major, and I am taking it now, so does that mean I will not hear back until this semester is over?

Hey guys, lemme know what you think
I am applying for transfer to CNS, chemistry or biochem from ACC
3.530 GPA
2 LOR from well know UT chemistry faculty (idk if this is a good thing bc of their law suits and whatnot)
currently working as a undergrad researcher in 2 UT labs, one organic synthesis/physical chem and the other a biochem/analytical lab
I was varsity captain of my hs soccer team
PTK member

scholastic leadership student status

was denied for fall 2019
i am also a teen mom and working part time and doing research so my life is a little crazy

I was apart of last years transfer group and I didn’t find out until January 14. So don’t get stressed if you don’t hear back soon.

@ethanissavage I think you have a very very good chance. Government is not too competitive and your resume is very decorated.
