Does anyone have further information on the next couple of months for deferrals? What percentages of deferrals eventually get admitted? Will deferrals be notified on a pseudo-rolling basis until early April (like UMich), or will everyone find out the same day?
Did any one receive Echols scholar invitation from UVA?
Wondering the same thing about Rodman Scholar. I havenāt even gotten a packet from UVA yet.
One of the notes on Dean Jās post about early action statistics:
The Echols, Rodman, and College Science Scholars program invitations will come by email at the end of February. Echols and Rodman also allow self-nomination after your first semester. Miller Arts Scholars only apply after the first semester.

UVa overwhelmingly admitted boys from my school. Not sure if this was just chance or had to do with statistics. Honestly, Iām getting sort of frustrated with the increasing competition at UVa. Itās a great school but itās still public, and lots of people on this thread have stats that could get them into a private school. And with the skyrocketing costs of college too, it leaves people like myself with no chance for merit-based scholarships, despite doing really well in high school. Donāt get me wrong, Iām still looking forward to April 1. I understand that itās becoming one of those ātop schoolsā and thus will have greater competition - I just wish it didnāt have to be that way.
Congratulations! How did you find out about Echols?
Anyone knows if UVA is opened to make OOS pay the same as in state. My son is from MD. He got scholarship 30K but wondering if we can ask for in-state tuition ?

Best of luck to everyone else in their college search!
Hi folks,
For those that applied EA and were deferred, just a heads up RD is getting released today. Dean J has already posted the stats, and only 8% of deferred students were offered admission. So⦠good luck, but hopefully everyone also has other schools they like!
