<p>I think my stats might get you optimistic about admission but keep in mind…I had a mega-hook.

<p>What really made me stand out was my essay about my experiences in the singapore army…and one of my recommendations…
So bottom line…theres no winning formula for admission into UVa unlike a lot of the other test score/GPA intensive schools like UC berkeley for example.</p>

<p>I think UVA’s the only public school that doesn’t rely too heavily on test scores/GPA. They look at your application as a package, so applicants with perfect SAT scores can still be rejected anyway.</p>
