UVA Architecture

Do people get into the school of Architecture even if they have less than a 4.0 weighted GPA? I have lots of experience in CAD work and Architecture, but I’ve heard that you can’t really get in if you have less than a 4.0…

You do not need a perfect 4.0 to be seriously considered.

The number of applications to the A School have actually dropped in recent years, apparently because the market for architecture jobs was weak during the recession.

@Charliesch I meant I don’t even have over a 4.0 WEIGHTED GPA. How does that affect my chances…

Apparently, there is no one on this site who knows much about A School admissions. Remember the golden rule and make sure you apply to some colleges that are both admissions and financial safeties. Everyone should treat UVa as a Reach, so they can be happily surprised if they are admitted.
