UVa Chances for California Student?

Hi guys, I’ve read up on UVa quite a lot and I’d be very grateful if I got accepted here, I would go here in a heart beat. Here are my statistics, do you think I have a chance?

GPA: 4.36 CP Weighted, 3.8ish unweighted
Top 4%+ in high school, top 4%+ in California. (ELC Programme)

Best SAT: 2030
Critical Reading 680
Math 670
Writing 680

Subject tests:

Biology M 720
U.S. History 740

APs:
US History: 5
Biology: 4
European History: 4

ECs: (my weakest portion)

JV Wrestling
Chess Club treasurer
General member, several clubs.

Thank you.

i believe you have a pretty good chance because your name is vlad karetnikov and your russian. Everybody loves Vodka!

Your SAT scores are probably a little low for for OOS

Well is there any point for to apply then, when everyone’s telling me my SATs are too low?

your SAT won’t keep you out.

If UVA is where you want to go, it is definitely worth sending the application. You definitely have a shot.

OOS will be hard, but I’m not going to say you dont have a chance; it’s a reach though! Good luck!

you’re SATs arn’t low - as to say that they fit within the 25-75. However, the point people are making when saying your SATs are low is that lots of OOS applicants are in the top 5% of their class AND have better SATs. However, it doesn’t disqualify you - just makes it a little more difficult. remembe, if 1350 on ur SATs was bad, then the 25% at UVa would be at or above 1350…

i think you’re definitely in the game. write good essays tho

your stats are almost identical to mine.
a Cali student with a 2050, 4.0 UW (toughest classes possible), top 5%, good recs, good essays.
i have a little more for the ECs but i dont think those can make or break you.
its too bad its so hard from OOS.
guess we’ll find out next week…good luck to ya

I wanted to apply to UVa but my GPA is dismal for OOS unfortunately…but I’ll absolutely transfer to UVa if I end up at some stupid UC or some other school on my list that I don’t want to be at.

i would still apply, you never know

I probably should lol
