I sent in the common application back in October and was looking over it recently, and the essays I sent in…aren’t my best. If I sent in new essays, do you think the Office of Admissions would consider them?

I’m not 100%, but I don’t think so.

sorry i didnt really clarify…I mean if I sent them via email or fax, would they be considered?

I rather doubt that sending new essays would buy you anything. Colleges expect you to do your best on the one application that you submit. They might think, “Now why didn’t s/he spend more time thinking about those essays before s/he sent them in?”

You can drive yourself crazy second-guessing what you’ve submitted, so I suggest just going with what you have. Sending different essays may make you appear to be indecisive and indicate that you didn’t think your original efforts through fully.

yeah, valid point. Thanks, Dave!
