Good to see next year will be really fun for my favorite sport!
@bigguy318 itâs important to note with that the guy who got accepted with âno information foundâ last year was on a full ROTC scholarship that likely transferred with him. Because of this he probably didnât bother applying for conventional financial aid. This is good news for people who didnât apply for financial aid as basically confirms that you wonât have âinquiry access deniedâ if you didnât apply for aid in the first place.
As a consequence, the ones who didnât apply for aid are the most in the dark. (which is arguably worse)
@Rjlake33 yeah thats very true. I guess its relieving for the ones that didnât apply for financial aid (which includes me thank god)
Hey guys! Is anyone applying to transfer to the nursing school for fall? Wondering if anyone knew about interviews, updates, etc.
There are a lot of hands in the pot deciding admissions. If the inquiry access denied is still accurate it might not affect everyone, depending on who finalized the decision. (This is my reasoning to help my self get through the next 17 days.)
So about the pre-req: if you are applying as a second-year student, do you still need to meet all of the requirements to be competitive for acceptance? I honestly never understood this. It does not seem possible for someone who had 2 semesters in college to finish all those lists of classes.
Second question: how the heck are some people sending 2 recommendation letters if you can only send 1 recommendation letter through Common App?
@jopak123 no way can they expect that lol! but you should definitely try to have half.
Iâm confused about the rec letters too- they must be sending them in by email/the application portal. I wouldnât worry about it, though; if UVA wanted more than one rec letter I think theyâd just allow for it in the common app.
I can answer number 2, I was told to send any other additional recommendation letters to uvaapplicationinfo@virginia.edu.
so iâm guessing that if you didnât get inquiry access denied you got rejected?
@msport Do you know for sure McIntire does not complete phone interviews for applicants they are looking at? I had two friends transfer in last year and both received the phone interview. A co-worker who transferred in 2017 also received an invitation for the phone interview.
@Zalo11 I really hope thatâs not the case because theyâre still in the thick of applications so itâs very possible that if you didnât get an âinquiry access denied,â then you could still have a chance of getting accepted. Thatâs at least whatâs getting me through these next three weeks
Do any other McIntire applicants have âInquiry Access Deniedâ on their sis portal?
Can everyone posts stats., if already posted just copy and paste so we all got an idea about the competition?
Plus itâll make the blog more interesting at this point bc I keep checking it too much

Did not apply for fin aid and have âno fin aid info foundâ
Meant to say Iâm applying for CAS.
For those whoâve checked, could you please include whether or not you see no financial aid or inquiry access denied?
Question: Does it make any difference if you apply from a 4-year? Iâve seen people, mostly in Virginia, talk about transferring from a CC, but most OOSâs are 4-years.
@Zalo11 Iâve heard that more community students get accepted, but that is likely due to the fact that more community college students apply.
Adding onto the CC rate, itâs mostly due to their GAA so there are a good number of students transferring from CC
