I got “inquiry access denied” for aid year 2020 about a week ago but no to do list, so I am assuming that I just didn’t get randomly chosen by SFS or IDOC for document verification
“I got no financial aid found” and I applied for financial aid. Although, I just did it but I know I won’t get any financial aid.
wait what do you mean that if you don’t have inquiry access denied you’re on the waitlist? so if you have it that means you might be offered admission??
@ndcuva Based on the last few years, having “Inquiry Access Denied” has indicated acceptance; having “No Financial Aid Information Found” has indicated either rejection or waitlist. This only holds up if you applied for financial aid and may have changed from last year since we now have the additional application portal.
@Zalo11 well the one person who does have ‘inquiry access denied’ without applying for aid has it for 2019 while the rest them have it for 2020 or both.
i didn’t apply for financial aid and my application status portal looks the same. did all of you guys apply for aid?
How do the course requirements work for OOS applicants and when are we expecting to hear back?
@whereto2022 i’m assuming you are talking about course requirements for each UVA school and I am 99% sure that they are the same for in state and out of state. As long as you fulfill the list of requirements or take as much as you can. I know CAS has a transfer credit analyzer online where you can see how/if your specific courses you are taking now will transfer, which I have found helpful. we’re expecting to hear back April 26th
If i’m planning to transfer for fall 2020 and I don’t get all the required courses in the fall and spring semesters can I take them at the community college i’m going to in the summer if i’m accepted to uva? I’m applying to CAS and i’d have to take the humanities and the social science course requirements over the summer.
if you get accepted to CAS as a transfer, you don’t have to take all the required courses listed in the transfer req section, prior to beginning fall semester at UVA. you were accepted, and those requirements are simply a recommendation for those applying to transfer, which you no longer have to worry about. you may finish the uva requirements at your own pace, if you are accepted.

@Zalo11 I don’t think that matter that much. If you just withdrawn from a course doesn’t have strong relationship to your major. It won’t matter. If they really care about the W, I think they would post a requirement for us to explain for all our Ws. However, there is nothing on the admission page about the W.
