what was the waitlist movement/trend last year?
@hopefulboy37 Idk where you got that from. In past years people who were waitlisted had âno financial aid information foundâ like @msport
Also the waitlist for transfers is a lot less luck than for first years. I think I read somewhere that a solid 40% get pulled off the waitlist if they do good in the spring.
@uvatransfer2019 The transfer waitlist is entirely dependent on transfer yield just like with first year admissions. Last year I was one of VERY few taken off the waitlist. 40% is a huge number. Thereâs variability and a lot of itâŠ

@msport This has been something on my mind lately⊠did you find the transition to UVA difficult in regards to the coursework? Iâm just curious because UVA is definitely a tough school and everyone I know who goes there says that as well⊠I would like to hear from a transfer student. 
if the transfer blog claims that âinquiry access deniedâ isnât indicative of acceptance can someone asks what it means then?? Iâm just curious how they would respond, and I donât know how to reply on the blog otherwise I would ask

Does anyone know how UVA will release decisions? Will they send email of decisions this year on April, 26th? Because on the blog of last year, they said that they do not email decisions. Also, how long will it take for them to mail the decision directly to our homes? Will they post the decision information on the new portal or still on the SIS?
@gohoooosss I would like to believe that it means something because at this point, Iâm so stressed with exams that a rejection would be heartbreaking. Idk at this point, I think that if you did get inquiry access denied, it means that SFS is just getting your financial award ready.
@RTCRTCRTC Decisions will be fully on the application portal this year at around 4-5pm on April 26th⊠last year, they were in SIS portal and there was a whole new area that you clicked to open your decision letter. Iâm not sure when the physical copy gets sent out
I just found out why people were getting emails from SFS or from the College Boardâs IDOC service. It might be interesting if you want to read it
âWe might need additional documents from some students, and we list some examples below. A request might come from SFS or from the College Boardâs IDOC service.â

I have a Household Size Form on my To-Do list now. It says âAdditional information is required for us to complete your financial aid award. You must complete the Household Size Form/Verification Statement to verify the correct number of people in your household and the number enrolled in college. This form is available on your IDOC Document Management Dashboard. You will receive notification from the College Board when your access to your Dashboard is available.â

Update: now that I have inquiry access denied, I cant help but feel like it is an indication of acceptance because why else would they be putting together a financial aid award?

@gohoos2019 thereâs one person on here that has inquiry access denied and didnât apply for aid. Idk what that means because this didnât happen last year.
but also think about all of the applicants who ARENT posting on this thread who have applied for aid and donât have âinquiry access deniedâ ⊠I think that not everyone gets it and obviously the people who get it and are all excited will post the fact that they have it.
I donât think everyone simply receives it because why would UVA put all of that time into everyoneâs financial aid package for poeple they donât admit. idk. I definitely think its a sign
