UVA Fall 2019 Transfer Thread

I take what I’ve said back tbh. I think th deans are being straight up with inquiry. If it holds to be true this year as well then amazing but I don’t think so anymore. Especially because so many people have it.

Yeah it definitely could be different for this year!

IM GOING INSANE I NEED TO BLACKLIST THIS SITE LMAOOOO

I’m checking this site, the transfer blog, my sis, and the portal on repeat. Send help.

Less than 48 hours stay strong

yeah I don’t think inquiry access denied is meaningful this year. Seems like everyone has it regardless of turning in financial aid or not.

are decisions coming out tomorrow or friday?

Should be Friday

I’ve only seen one person who has inquiry access denied without turning in financial aid?

@busybee1234 and even that person didn’t have it for the current year

Am I the only person who is slightly concerned with the idea of adjusting to UVA in terms of the academics? UVA’s academics are difficult and I have heard and read that many transfer students have a tough time adjusting to it. Sometimes I question why I am putting myself in a position where I will have to work 10x harder than I do now, but then I have to remind myself that UVA is known for many students having internships and future employers love seeing UVA on resumes

Guys, I’m with you all on basically refreshing all the websites every six hours. I’m with you, but if this whole it’s usually announced on the last friday of april is a misdirection I’m going to lose my mind. I wanna be able to watch avengers in peace so I hope that it comes out for sure.

@JosDio I specifically got tickets for 4:45PM on Friday so I could watch Avengers without stressing about decisions, or rather without being potentially upset about decisions.

@gnpy123 Funny enough I transferred into a harder school this spring semester and yes it was harder but not in the sense that you think. The only thing that was hard was the adjusting to the new environment, finding your group, and understanding the culture of the school. I felt that these were influential on the academics aspect of the school. As soon as you get into a routine and find your groove the academics is not as hard as you think. Even Conan O’Brien said that getting into Harvard for him was the hardest part and that the academics was equivalent to any other school (in terms of easy/hard)

I applied last year as a transfer. I applied for aid, had no financial aid found the entire time and was waitlisted. I already know I am going to get waitlisted/rejected this year because I have no financial aid found again. Last year decisions came out right at 5 pm on the last Friday in April.

@machlan I strongly believe its not an indicator, maybe you’ll see your financial aid switch to no financial aid found in the coming days

What if we’re all being pessimistic and we’re all just smart cookies? Just food for thought

@zalo11 Yeah… but nobody has a clue what the avg gpa is for oos… so not all smart cookies can get into the jar
